2) Descriptions:I am eagerly waiting for Christmas to come. I imagine my house is decorated with discothèque lighting. I made this necklace that resembles the discotheque lightings. The beaded balls are made of colourful crystals. It looks lively and energetic. Of course, by learning the technique of making these beaded balls, you can apply different colour tones that create different feel. You can turn them into beautiful earrings or bracelet. There are unlimited variations of design you can make! The tutorial comes with both pictorial instructions as well as diagram to allow the beginners to follow and have fun making the necklace.

3) Materials Needed:Before you start, prepare the following materials and tools for this project.

10 pcs of 4mm blue bicone crystals10 pcs of 4mm purple bicone crystals10 pcs of 4mm red bicone crystals6 pcs of 4mm black bicone crystals Nylon Thread1 needle size 114 crimp beads4 callotesLobster clasp1 jump ringSeed beads

4) Tools Needed:ScissorsFlat nose pliers

5) Making Beaded Ball

Step 1 Cut a stretch of 100 cm (39 inches) nylon thread. Pick up 5 bicone beads into the thread. Leave a 4-inch tail.

Step 2Pass through all of the crystals in the same direction to form the first faceof the beaded bead and continue through the first crystal one moretime.

Step 3As illustrated below, thread in 1 Purple, 2 Red and 1 Purple.

Pass through the first crystal again, labeled “a” in the diagram to complete the second face of the beaded bead. Then pass the thread into the crystal, labeled “b.” Pick up 1 Purple and 2 Red bicone crystals.

Step 5Pass the thread through the crystal, labeled “f” and continue through the crystals, labeled “b and c” to complete the third face of the beaded bead.

Repeat the second half of Step 4 from “Pick up” through step 5 two times to complete the fourth and fifth faces of the beaded bead. Continue through the crystals, labeled “e and g” then pick up 2 red bicone crystals.

Step 7Pass through crystals, labeled “h, e and g” to complete the sixth face of the beaded bead. Continue through the crystal labeled “i.”

The beaded bead is now half-complete and the beadwork should start to form a rounded bowl shape at this point. Pick 1 purple, 1 blue and 1 purple into the thread.

Step 9Thread it through crystals labeled “I and j” to complete the seventh face of the beaded bead. Continue to pass the thread through crystals labeled “k and l.”

Pick up 1 purple and 1 blue.

Step 11 Pass through the crystal labeled “0, k and l” to form the eighth face of the beaded bead. Continue through “m and n.”

Repeat Steps 10 and 11 two more times to complete the ninth and tenth faces of the beaded bead. Continue through the purple crystal labeled “p.”

Step 13 Pick up a blue bicone.

Pass through the crystal ‘q’ on the tenth face of the beaded bead. Continue through the crystal labeled “r and s” to complete the eleventh face of the beaded bead. Pass through the “p and t.” Gently pull the beadwork taut to gather the beads into a ball structure.

Step 15Repeat the process and make a total of 7 beaded balls.

6) Making a necklace with beaded balls

Step 1Cut a 44 inches nylon thread. Slide in a crimp bead up to the center of the thread, folding the thread in half.

Insert both ends of the thread into the callote then slide the callote up to the folded part where the crimp bead is.

With your flat nose pliers press the crimp bead then press the callote to cover the crimp bead.

Cut another 44 inches nylon thread and repeat the steps.

Step 2Attach the callotes onto a jump ring. Slide in on each thread several seed beads, depending on your preferred length.

On one thread slide in a beaded ball.

Then follow the beaded ball with some seed beads while on the other thread continue with just seed beads. When both threads are of the same length, insert both threads into a bicone.

Slide in again several seed beads and repeat the steps until you have evenly spaced the beaded balls.

Step 3When you reach your desired length, slide in a callote followed by a crimp bead.

Press the crimp bead.

Press the callote to cover the crimp bead.

Attach both callotes onto your lobster clasp and you’re done.
