DESCRIPTION
December 31 - March 15 119 Lewis StreetTRANSCRIPT
Brian Wills is a Harvard Law graduate turned artist. His works are simple, yet complex. Wills weaves thousands of strands of thread together to create textured images, or encases thread and paint in polyurethane to create deep, reflective surfaces. Part craft and part minimal conceptualism, Wills works combine color, light, geometry and material to create thoughtfully beautiful pieces. Carol Glenn is a Ketchum-Los Angeles painter and ceramicist whose work is technically impressive and visually captivating. Influenced by Japanese ceramics, Glenn’s pieces are energetic, yet quiet. Also walking the line between craft and fine art, Glenn will create a site-specific work made up of plates from several series she has done, revealing a thoughtful, elegant installation.
