Brian concentrates on business litigation with an emphasis on trial prac-tice.   Before joining the firm, Brian clerked for the Hon. Brian J. Amero in the Superior Court of Henry County. There, he assisted in numerous civil, criminal, and domestic cases. As part of that work, Brian and Judge Amero drafted an order in a widely publicized murder trial on an issue of first impression. The order was unanimously affirmed by the Supreme Court of Georgia, which noted its “painstaking analysis.”

While clerking, Brian worked with Judge Amero to reform the treatment of the mentally ill within the criminal justice system, which brought them into contact with Governor Brian Kemp, members of the Georgia legislature, and justices on the Supreme Court of Georgia.

Prior to clerking, Brian graduated from Emory Law in May 2017 as a member of the Order of the Coif. At Emory, Brian served as a managing editor for the Emory International Law Review and worked as a research assistant for Professor Timothy P. Terrell on his since-published book, The Dimensions of Legal Reasoning. Before joining Emory Law, Brian studied philosophy at the graduate level and taught at Georgia State University. Brian completed his undergraduate education at Connecticut College and was there named a Winthrop Scholar—the college’s highest academic honor.

Brian was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, where his parents still reside. He enjoys cooking, good beer, philosophy, history, and any number of board games.
