Participants must complete the Speaker and Program Evaluation in order to receive an ACPE Statement of Credit. The evaluation must be completed within 14 days after the program date. ACPE Statements of Credit may then be printed off of the NABP website, after the program has been processed by IU Health, ACPE and NABP. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing.
Continuing Nursing EducationIndiana University Health is an approved provider of continuing nurs-ing education by the Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. (OBN-001-91) (OH-412, 6/1/2019)
Nurses will be granted 5.08 contact hours for time in attendance and submission of an evaluation.

A limited number of overnight rooms will be available for January 27, 2017 at a reduced rate of $119 plus applicable taxes. Reserva-tions must be received on or before Monday, December 26, 2016.
FeesA fee of $50 for healthcare providers and $100 for industry representa-tives has been set for this program. This fee includes a link to the online syllabus, continental breakfast, break refreshments, and lunch. For those wishing to receive a printed syllabus, an additional fee of $10 must be paid at the time of registration prior to the conference. Medical stu-dents, residents, and fellows in-training may attend free of charge; how-ever, registration is required.
All registration fees will be refunded if cancellation is made before January 20, 2017.
Course DescriptionThis one-day symposium is designed for medical oncologist, general surgeons, pharmacists, nurses and other health care professionals as a review of recent advances in breast cancer diagnosis and treatments. Three guest lecturers and the Indiana University School of Medicine faculty in the field of breast cancer will share their expertise with course participants on a variety of topics relating to the care and treatment of cancer patients.

Prior to the sym-posium participants have the opportunity to submit cases or important questions/controversies they would like to be addressed at the sympo-sium. Please email cases and questions directly to Dr. Kathy Miller at [email protected]. Please submit these by January 20th. We will also take cases and questions at the symposium.
Course ObjectivesAt the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
• List and explain indications for mastectomy. Review impact of MR on surgical planning;
• Review the incidence and impact of osteopenia/osteoporosis in breast cancer patients with early stage disease;
• Review and explain ASCO/NCCN guidelines for use of molecular profiling;
• Recall and discuss changes in local/regional cancer manage-ment; and
• Identify novel agents and enumerate the toxicities and appro-priate management of patients treated with novel agents.
