All of Virginia has JUST been declared an Economic Injury Disaster Area by the SBA
Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) and other pertinent small business information
Our office is receiving many, many inquiries about programs for small businesses during the COVID-19 health and economic emergency. Although programs and appropriate responses are changing rapidly, your SBDC is working diligently to keep the most recent and accurate information available for you. Please check frequently for the latest information on our WEBSITE. The information on our website will continue to be updated as additional announcements become available.
Client Appointments SBDC Staff Availability
CVSBDC Staff are all currently working remotely. While we are not physically available IN our office locations, we continue to be available through remote means. No in-person meetings or training sessions are scheduled for the immediate future. Client meetings ARE continuing to be scheduled and held via remote-based technology, primarily online meetings and phone calls.
Please Note: Counseling sessions are By Appointment Only. EXISTING SBDC Clients: If you would like to schedule or re-schedule a meeting with an SBDC Business Advisor, please call the SBDC at 434-295-8198 or email the Client Services Coordinator at [email protected]. EXISTING Business that are not yet SBDC Clients: Please visit the Request for Counseling page of the CVSBDC website, and follow directions to submit a Request for Counseling and a Pre-Counseling Questionnaire. Once these two forms are received, you will be contacted to schedule a phone or online advising session with a Business Advisor.
Training Workshops and Events
All in-person workshops and other training events have been postponed for the foreseeable future. The How to Start Your Own Business class on Mar 26 will be offered as a live, interactive, online class.
