    Information

    What is it?

    Who made it?

    When?

    Why do I love it?

A short motion piece about things the authors aspire to do in their everydaylives.

Animated by Yaniv Fridman and Daniel Luna. Sound Design by Whitenose

    Labs.

    2012

I feel like the piece promotes the idea of self improvement. Everyone I know

sets goals in one way or another and this piece expresses those goals in a

different way. I really like the 3D work in this piece too. It is not over done and

    helps get the point across.

    Execution

What does it look like? The piece looks very minimal with most of the animation taking place inthe center of the screen. The grey background stays the same throughout the piece and makes the color of the animation pop. A lot of circular

imagery is used. Goals are located in the center of the screen in custom

type while objects representing said goal come to life around it.

What does it move like? Most animation originates from the center of the screen. The goal of theanimation is to take de constructed pieces and make an image which

symbolizes the goal on the screen. Objects appear out of thin air and

then proceed to exit either by scaling out or being blocked by the next

image. The camera seems to be one continual shot that stays put.

What does it sound like? The piece is scored by a whimsical almost dreamy sounds track. On topof this the sound design feels very digital and is constantly changes are

thing appear and disappear. As objects like the type writer move there are

    realistic sounds.

How do Form + Content relate?

Imagery Setting goals at times can be a cycle. You set them and dont accomplish andthen set them again. This can be seen in the choice of circles throughout the

piece. There isnt a start or an end to them its continuous.

Edit Improving yourself can be never ending, the piece is one continuous shotsof animation come in and out. Goals do not end when you complete one,

you just nd another to take its place. There is only one continuous shot

    throughout the piece.

Style The idea of the piece is very simple and straight forward its expressing goals. They style used thought the piece was minimal. Its about the goals what ani-

mations can express that. There isnt much going on in the background.
