Pompe Garbarino will supply about 80 vertical in line centrifugal pumps for each of the seven drillships that EAS is building for Sete Brasil. Pump delivery will begin next year and continue until 2017. Meanwhile Pompe Garbarino will also supply pumps for 21 tug boats that will be used by Brazil’s Baru Offshore and Camorin Servicos Maritimos. Nick Anderson, currently respon- sible for Spirax-Sarco’s steam busi- ness operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, has been appointed chief operating officer with immediate effect, with a view to taking over as chief executive when Vernon leaves the company next year. Anderson previously served as vice president of John Crane Asia Pacific and president of John Crane Latin America. In his new role, Anderson will be responsible for the day to day delivery of Spirax Sarco’s operating results.
