So to kick off in style I’m speaking to Bravo46 Taskforce fearless leader BR-01 or Arnie.

Thanks for taking the time today to chat with myself.

Alpha: Firstly thank you for choosing me to kick off your new series Vixen! I feel privileged.

For the readers out there my name is Mike Arnett or as my team mates call me, Alpha. I am

the Team Leader for the midlands based team Called Bravo 46 Task Force. I am also fellow

team mate of our very own Vixen!

Alpha: The team started when myself and Ripper met on an airsoft Facebook Page back in

early 2015. After chatting we quickly realised that we lived in the same town and went to the

same school as each other those many years ago! We both became friends quickly and

decided we would set up an airsoft team. When deciding the name of the team we used the

things we had in common and what brought us together to help decide the name. This is when

Bravo 46 was decided. Bravo 46 derived from both mine and Rippers Postcode (B46). After

all it was where we lived that made our paths cross.

Alpha: This year has been a bit of a whirlwind to be

honest. When we started this team back last year we

had no idea that the team would become as

successful as it has in such a short space of time. Now it's all about building on that great first

year and constantly trying to take the team to the next level.

Alpha: Bravo 46 will be heading to a lot more sites this

year and travelling all over. We are taking a full squad to

Ai500 in May at UCAPS Sandpit which we are excited

about. We aim to take the team into the more milsim

games by the end of 2016.

Alpha: One big plastic slinging family. We have so many

different characters and personality in the team that it's

never a dull day at Camp Bravo. The players in Bravo 46

are some of the most determined and loyal people I have

ever met. Everything they do is for the good of the team.

It's so much fun too. We are all constantly laughing about

things. They really are some of the best people I have ever

known and I'm honoured to play alongside them all. We

are literally like one big pack of wolves.

Alpha: It has to be our first ever Ai500 that we attended at RAF Kirton last year. Our

performance there I think was a defining moment for the team where it showed we could

actually run alongside the big teams and keep up to. We definitely held our own that weekend

and I was so proud of everyone there. Each player put in 110% every day. To have the team

noticed by people and get a personal thank you for our efforts over the weekend really meant

a lot to us all. Also we made some really great friends and other great teams like Reaper

Crew, OPFOR and Task Force Neptune. These guys have become friends of ours and it will

remain that way into the future.

Alpha: I love the sense of togetherness. The fact if you need

any help or advice regarding kit or tech issues. There is

always someone there at the end of a keyboard willing to

help. Also I love how the community is spread over the

globe. It means we get chance to be friends with people in

countries we may of never been to and interact with the rest of the world. By the way this is a

chance for me to give a huge shout out to my buddy Sidewaze in Canada from the team

Direwolves!!!

Alpha: Have fun and then have some more fun. After all, airsoft is a game. Yes you can get

all the best gear and wear the best loadout but the fact is that this is a game. And a great game

it is too. Whether you wear the best kit or just rock up on a Sunday in your hoody and

trackys, get out there, enjoy yourselves and smash it. If you are looking at buying your own

gun then my advice would be to try as many different guns as you can. Ask people if you can

shoot there's. Get a feel for what style of gun you like before rushing into any purchase.

Alpha: A gun, wouldn't get very far without one Haha. On a serious note a must have would

definitely be decent footwear. Some games require you to track over long distances so sturdy

and reliable footwear in my eyes is a must!

Alpha: I have tried to go as real world as I can but with a few of my own tweaks. I'm aiming

for a UK SF look with the help of a few friends who are currently serving they tell me what

kit is being used and what isn't. I wear all my kit round my waist on a belt rig. I find it so

much more comfortable than having everything strapped to my chest. It makes me feel more

lightweight.

Alpha: I think it would be multiple! You can never have too many guns. There is so many

that I love so this is a tough question. See I'm very stuck in my ways and I may get slated for

this for having such a lack of imagination but I love the M4! There is so much you can do

with it. I would probably go out and buy the best Gas blow back M4 I could buy and then

upgrade the hell out of it.

Alpha: Just over a year now. I started back when I attended the Airsoft Showcase at the Mall

in Reading. So not as long as people think.

Alpha: I wanted a hobby in which I could put my hard earned money into. After becoming a

father I knew I had to use the little time I had to myself wisely. This was when I discovered

airsoft. Through a military charity that my dad works for I managed to make a few contacts to

get me started in the game. I played a my first game at The Mall in Reading at the airsoft

showcase and I was immediately hooked.

Alpha: My first airsoft gun was a VFC M4 Carbine which I purchased from Redwolf Airsoft.

I still use this gun as my primary weapon now and it has never let me down.

Alpha: I love playing CQB. There nothing better than stacking up at a doorway and then

rushing into a room to clear out the enemy. It definitely gets the adrenaline pumping.

Alpha: I have played regularly at

West Midlands Airsoft, I've also

played at The Gaol in Oakham

and RAF Kirton in last year’s

instalment of Ai500. That's just to

name a few. Sites I really want to

attend is Anzio (which I am

attending on the 27th Feb), Stanta

training facility, UCAP's The

Sandpit and any one of Airborne

Airsofts events wherever it may

be. I aim to do this all in 2016.

Alpha: The sense of realism. The

use of vehicles maybe too. I like

real buildings where it has real windows, doors and rooms to clear. I prefer this to sites that

have the kind of paintball feel to it where there are loads of wooden structures. I like a site

that makes me work hard and isn't easy on foot.

Alpha: I have a few how I aspire to be. S23 Gear Monkey is one of these guys. I had the

privilege of playing alongside him at Ai500 last year and the guy is a true gent and a great

friend. The way he conducts himself on and off the field is great for our sport. He is a great

ambassador to the game. Also Dan Foo Fighter because simply, the guy is a bad ass. If I can

be anywhere near the kind of player he is I will be happy.

Across the pond also there is a few, Robo Murray and Sidewaze from Direwolves Airsoft

Team are all great ambassadors to Airsoft and I aim to be up there with those guys in the

future.
