Brad Pitt's Mother Supports Romney Jane Pitt, who's the mother of the famed Hollywood star Brad Pitt, came out in support of Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney. She did so via a letter to the editor of the Springfield (Missouri) News-Leader. Though most of liberal press is now slandering her very character by calling her crazy, biased and homo-phobic, she's simply stating her  beliefs . I thought that al l Amer icans had the right to expr ess themselves freely according to the U.S. Constitution. Apparently not according to the many leftist fanatics out there who forget the very reason for our country's formulation was for the Freedom of Religion and not sexual orientation. Here are Jane's well thought out viewpoints. The letter was written in response to a businessman who thought because Romney was a Mormon, that he should not vote for him on that basis. Whenever we vote as Christians, we should always line up the candidate's words and deeds to see if they follow with what the Bible tells us to say and do. That is our standard by which we decide on whom to vote for. Jane's response: "I have given much thought to Richard Stoecker’s letter (“Vote for Mormon against  beliefs ,” June 15). I am als o a Chris tian and differ w ith the M ormon re ligion. B ut I t hink any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon. Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage. I hope all Christians give their vote prayerful consideration because voting is a sacred privilege and a serious responsibility." Brad Pitt's mom was responding to another opinion piece in the Springfield News Leader that argued that "the conscience of many Christians would not allow them to vote for a Mormon," by Richard Stoecker, a resident of Sparta, Mo. Mr. Stoecker said Mormon theology denigrates women and supports polytheism. "Whether Christians opposed to Romney are denounced as bigots or not, I hope that in America their freedom to follow their conscience can still be respected. And I hope that wealthy and powerful GOP leaders who feel Romney will guarantee their victory will come to see that he likely will guarantee defeat," wrote Stoecker.
