Volunteers started working last night to prep the building and the food.About 1,000 people were expected to show up for the free meal. That's nearlydouble the attendance of last year.

Food, music, portraits and games were just part of today's event. The most important was respect.

The Boys and Girls Club of Dane County Executive Director, Michael Johnsonsays, " We want to be able to love on people when they walk in. We don't wantpeople to feel like this is a soup kitchen. "

Despite what may have happened before and what will happen after today for afew hours these folks had something to be thankful for.
