Provisional Camping - Central Florida Council - ONLY No Troop…No Problem! There is no reason for you to miss out on all the fun just because your troop isn’t attending the Central Florida International Jamborette, or because other summer plans mean you won’t be able to go to camp with your troop. Scouts who wish to participate in the 2019 International Jamborette camp can attend as part of the International Jamborette Provo Program. New Friends…New Experiences! The International Jamborette Provo Program will be like camping with your home troop, except you’ll have the opportunity to camp with new friends, as you join scouts from all over the council, state, nation, and world. You’ll meet new people and can develop friendships that can last a lifetime. See the International Jamborette Provo Program application for additional details…

Aquatics The Aquatics Area is one of the most popular areas in camp and features many activities. The aquatics area lakefront sits on the 2,352-acre Lake Norris and has two swimming pools that feature a diving board and a 70-foot-long water slide. Some of the activities that you could take part could include Canoeing, Kayaking, Small Boat Sailing, and Swimming.

Big Stump Trail Expect a muddy two-hour walk through the Blackwater Swamp to view an old first growth cypress stump. Be sure to wear old clothes and closed-toe shoes. Nobody comes back in clean clothes and the mud usually won’t wash out.

Handicraft The Handicraft Area is a program where a Scout can find pride and satisfaction in completing something with their own two hands or getting out of their comfort zone. Some of the activities that you could take part could include Animation, Journalism, Moviemaking, Public Speaking, Radio, and Theatre.

Kennedy Space Center Since December 1968, KSC has been NASA's primary launch center of human spaceflight. Launch operations for the Apollo, Skylab and Space Shuttle programs were carried out from KSC Launch Complex 39.

Native American Program The program will let you learn Native American cooking, survival skills, primitive weapons history, fire making, hide tanning, and flint napping, and Seminole history. In this program, you will learn to make your very own survival sticks that you can take with you anywhere.

Shooting Sports Shooting Sports offered will be Archery and Rifle . The .22-caliber rifle will provide a great shooting experience for all Scouts regardless of previous shooting experience. Safety glasses & ear plugs are required and will be provided.

Water Day: Canoeing the Silver River Wildlife include the usual alligators, otters, birds and fish, but don't be surprised by the monkeys! Monkeys were brought onto a river island as a tourist attraction, for the Tarzan movies, thinking they would not swim, but today bands of monkeys range over 40 miles. The monkeys can be aggressive and paddlers should use caution.

Water Day: Deep Sea Fishing/Beach Have the opportunity to catch a small shark or other Atlantic Coast fish. Those fish that meet the catch requirements are brought back to the Native American Village for cooking and eating. Following Deep Sea Fishing, the afternoon will be spent at a Beach Barbeque.

Water Day: DeLeon Springs The outstanding feature of the 625-acre park is the spring producing 19 million gallons of water a day at 72 degrees year-round. Visitors can take a swim in the springs and/or take leisurely stroll on a paved Nature Trail to see the 600-year-old cypress tree. The popular Sugar Mill Restaurant, located in a 100-year-old replica of the original 1830s sugar mill, features cook-your-own pancakes at the table.

Water Day: Tubing and Swimming Take a couple hours to float and swim down the 72 degree Ichetucknee River which is fed by Ichetucknee Springs. Tubing down a natural lazy river...need we say more?
