JULY • SPEND THE DAY IN MANITOWISH WATERS Featuring the Manitowish Waters Chamber’s annual “Taste of Manitowish Waters,” 11 am – 2 pm in the Lions pavilion behind the Community Center. Sample a variety of delicious food prepared and served by local restaurants, live music and beverages! Manito Art League Art Show inside the Community Center 9am – 5pm. Shop participating businesses during the annual Sidewalk Sales. End your day with a Skiing Skeeters water ski show ~ 7 pm, at Rest Lake Park. AUGUST • NORTHWOODS BAD-DASH A beautiful 4-mile, 12 obstacle “Adventure Run” through Manitowish Waters and the beautiful Discovery Center. Participate or just come to watch the runners traverse the obstacles. Spectators and runners are invited to join in the fun at the finish line where we will have live music, awards, raffles, beer tent and food. Sponsored by the Manitowish Waters Chamber of Commerce and the North Lakeland Discovery Center. Fun for the whole family! OCTOBER • CRAN-A-RAMA (FORMERLY CRANBERRY COLORAMA) Sponsored by the Manitowish Waters Chamber of Commerce and the Manitowish Waters Cranberry Growers Association, 9 am – 3 pm at the Manitowish Waters Community Center. Celebrating the start of our fall color and cranberry harvest season with an arts and craft fair, and “Everything Cranberry” including a cranberry cooking contest, “Taste of Harvest” concessions featuring local restaurants and vendors from 11 am – 2 pm, free cranberry marsh tours, free Fall Color Pontoon Rides sponsored by the Manitowish Waters Lakes Association, Lioness bake sale, fresh cranberry sales, self-guided fall color tours, cranberry samples and more!
