Boston University Office of Distance Educationhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gQ2JEho_UAHow many slides should you have? Only as many as required to visually support what youre saying orally. That doesnt mean putting words on a screen, which creates a conflict for your audience (should I read or should I listen?). It means using limited text with simple visuals and graphics (e.g. bar charts, line graphs).Heres a useful test: Go through every slide in your presentation and ask yourself this question: Do I absolutely need this slide, or can I find a compelling way to deliver this information verbally instead?

Recording AudioBoston University Office of Distance EducationThe Record Slide Show feature is similar to the Rehearse Timings feature, but it's more comprehensive. If you have a microphone for your computer, you can even record voiceover narration for the entire presentation. This is useful if you plan on using your slide show for a self-running presentation or a video. Your mouse won't show up on screen in recorded slide shows, so if you want to point out details on screen, you can use PowerPoint's laser pointer option.Select either Start Recording from Beginning or Start Recording from Current Slide. The Record Slide Show dialog box will appear. Select the desired options. 12
