A 2 kg load is typically made up of 10 mens shirts or the clothes you would wear on a normal day. If you need to wash larger loads, consider a machine with at least a 7 kg capacity.

Q: How can I get my washing done quickly? A: No one wants to spend more time doing the laundry. And for the really time-pressed, weve created the SpeedPerfect option, which reduces wash times by 60% that means a 40C cotton wash will be ready in an hour!

Q: Do I need all of these programmes?A: If youve invested a lot of money in your clothes or household linens, you can easily avoid destroying or damaging them by choosing the machine with the most programmes to suit your budget. Hand wash, delicates, silk, woollens, sports or other specialist programmes give the best possible care to specific items.

Q: What detergents get the best results?A: All detergents when used with correct dosage deliver good results. Powders and gels give more flexibility to get dosage levels correct, whereas tablets and liquitabs are more convenient. Liquids dissolve quickly and give good results at lower temperatures.

Q: Do I need to sort the laundry?A: You should always sort your laundry by colour and care type and try washing similar colours and fabrics together. Spending a small amount of time sorting your laundry will ensure you get better washing results.

Q: Whats the difference between vented and condenser dryers?A: Vented tumble dryers work by venting the warm moist air from the drum through a pipe to the wall or an outside vent. Condensers pass the warm air into an easily accessible container which needs to be emptied. Q: Which is the best cleaning method by hand or in a dishwasher?A: Tap water used for hand washing is generally not a very high temperature, and washing up liquid is relatively mild because both come in contact with your skin. Dishwashers, on the other hand, heat water to over 70C which is more effective at removing bacteria, and dishwasher detergent contains different ingredients that target stains and food residues. Some of our dishwashers also have a Hygiene option, which uses a longer, hotter final rinse for chopping and cooking utensils. In short, youll get better results with less effort from a dishwasher than from hand washing.

Q: Do I need to stack the dishes in the dishwasher a certain way to get the best results?A: To get the best results, we recommend larger dishes and tall items go in the bottom rack with their dirty surfaces facing the centre and any openings facing down. The top rack should be reserved for smaller items such as cups or glasses, or those that are less dirty. The top basket can be adjusted when fully loaded to create extra space if needed for taller or bigger items in the bottom rack. RackMatic now enables you to gain greater flexibility by folding down racks to accomodate larger items or pans.

Q: Which size dishwasher is best for me?A: If you use a lot of dishes, for example if you have a large family or you regularly cook and entertain at home, you should consider a standard size dishwasher as they can easily hold between 12-14 three course dinner place settings. Their flexible settings also allow you to use them for larger pots and pans as well as delicate items such as glassware.

Q: Will I have to wait long for the dishwasher to finish every time?A: No. If you need your dishes quickly, you can have light loads clean within 20 minutes thanks to our TurboSpeed programme. A normal, full load can also be cleaned more quickly if you select the VarioSpeed or VarioSpeed Plus option. When youre not in a rush, you can save energy by selecting the Economy 50C programme which uses less energy.

Zeolite Drying - Optimal drying using less energyThe energy-saver mineral: Besides saving water, ActiveWater dishwashers also reduce energy

consumption in comparison to current models by a further 20%. They reduce environment impact and electricity bills in the face of rising energy prices. The secret of this energy saving has a name: Zeolite Drying. The natural silicate mineral ZeoliteTM is regenerated for each new rinse cycle, lasts a lifetime and never needs replacing.

Cleaning processIn the next wash cycle, the air from the dishwasher interior is heated and flows through the ZeoliteTM container. This releases the water stored in the ZeoliteTM pearls and this moisture together with the heated air is now returned to the interior where it helps heat up the water in the process.

Drying processDamp air is channelled out of the interior and through the ZeoliteTM container. The moisture is immediately absorbed by the ZeoliteTM pearls and the energy stored in the ZeoliteTM is released in the form of heat. The hot, very dry air is channelled back into the interior and dries the dishes.

VarioSpeed functionality on all models with displayResearch shows that consumers are often looking for a time saving feature to help reduce the length of

the programme. With a Bosch dishwasher, you can have the option of having your dishes cleaned in the normal time using the standard programme or choose to reduce the length of the programme with VarioSpeed by approximately up to 50% without sacrificing on washing and drying performance.

VarioDrawerOn select ActiveWater dishwashers, the VarioDrawer (third loading level) replaces the cutlery basket

completely, freeing even more space in the bottom basket and creates a loading capacity for 15 place settings. Whisper-quiet operationBosch dishwashers have been designed to be whisper-quiet. Multiple levels of soundproofing materials

on the roof, sides and door of the dishwasher combined with a vibration-proof base plate and specially mounted motor pump, all help in reducing any noise while the load is being washed. The pumps and a closed water cycle produce less noise as the water is distributed equally through the spray arms.

EmotionLightAn additional visual highlight on opening the door, the interior is bathed in a deep blue light: EmotionLight. This beautiful play of light is produced (in select models) by blue LEDs that will last the entire dishwasher life cycle.

DosageAssist detergent systemSince most households use detergent tablets in their dishwashers, the DosageAssist feature is designed to maximise their effectiveness. The detergent dispenser on Bosch ActiveWaterTM dishwashers is conveniently located in the top-centre of the door, where it is protected from food remnants that drip while loading dishes. At the beginning of the wash cycle, the detergent tablet drops into the specially designed tray, where it dissolves evenly under control, instead of lodging between crockery or not dissolving completely.

Heat ExchangerUnlike other drying systems that draw-on polluted air from behind the dishwasher, all Bosch ActiveWaterTM models collect and reuse the residual heat from the warm water inside the dishwasher to hygienically dry your dishes. A final hot rinse leaves residual heat in the tub, creating condensation along the cooler wall. The condensation is then drained so youll never have to release steam into the kitchen again. The Heat Exchanger not only reduces the need to heat additional rinses, it also saves energy and protects your valuable dishes and glasses from the damaging effects of temperature shocks.
