Naturally Disguising a Modern Mechanical Building in the Midst

of a Historic Campus

This structure works with the “Book of Nature” in the sense that it is very versatile which leads to the option of it being minimally visible to the eye. I chose to place the majority of the building underground so as to take away from the surrounding nature as little as possible. While this structure is very technilogically advanced, encorporating a hydraulic auditorium, it still manages to fit in well in the midst of our historic campus because from the outside you would never guess that there was a mechanical building under the small island that is visible when the structure is submerged. My goal through this structure was to meet all space requirements, while taking away from nature as little as possible and using the least space possible.
