Owing to the day being Sunday, the ruling planet is the Sun, according to Kabbalistic convention-)Shapes familiar to the Spirits of the Sun. -The Spirits of the Sun for the most part appear in a large, full and great body sanguine and gross, in gold color, with the tincture of blood. Their motion is as the Lightning of Heaven; their sign is to move the person to sweat that calls them. But their particular forms are: A King having a Scepter riding on a Lion; A King crowned; A Queen with a Scepter; A Bird; A Lion; A Cock; A yellow or golden Garment; A Scepter. Caudaius.

- The Angels of Monday are: Gabriel, Michael, and Samael- The Angels ruling the Air on Monday are: Arcan, King; and Bilet, Missabus, and Abuzaha as his Ministers.- The wind which the said Angels of the .Air are subject to is the West-wind.- The Angels of the first heaven, ruling on Monday, which ought to be called from the four parts of the world: -from the East: Gabriel, Gabrael, Madiel, Deamiel, and Janael; from the West: Sachiel, Zaniel, Habaiel, Bachanael, and Corabael; from the North: Mael, Vuael, Valnum, Baliel, Balay, and Humastrau, and from theSouth: Curaniel, Dabriel, Darquiel, Hanun, Anayl, and VetueL- The perfume for Monday is Aloes. The Spirits of the Air of Monday, are subject to the West-wind, which is the wind of the Moon: their nature is to give silver; to convey things from place to place; to make horses swift; and to disclose the secrets of persons both present and future:The forms familiar to the Spirits of the Moon. -They will for the most part appear in a great and full body, soft and phlegmatique, of color like. a black obscure cloud, having a swelling countenance, with eyes red and full of water, a bald head, and teeth like a wild boar. Their motion is as it were an exceeding great tempest of the Sea.For their sign, there will appear an exceeding great rain about the Circle. Bardons incense correspondencesBelow you will find a list of the incenses to be applied for the various spheres. It must, however, be pointed out that incense can only serve as an aid for the materialization at the beginning. It is by no means absolutely necessary.1. Zone Girdling the Earth:Sage powder and elder-pith, in equal parts;2. Moon-sphere:aloe-powder as the. only drug to be used, or intensified in the form of a mixture in equal parts of aloe, white poppy, storax, ben- Zoe and pulveris camphoris (of the latter, however, only a very small pinch!);3. Mecury-sphere:use mastic as the only incense, or, as an intensifying mixture, equal parts of mastic, incense, carnation blossoms, aniseed, juniper wood, camomile blossoms and valerian roots; everything in pulverized state;4. Venus-sphere:take pulverized cinnamon as the only incense, or pulverized cinnamon flowers (flores kassia); in intensified form: cinnamon, rose blossoms, coriander seed quiendel blossoms (not lavender, but flores Serpilli), lily blossoms; all in equal quantities and pulverized state;5; Sun-sphere:as an isolated incense use sandalwood-powder; as an intensified substance use a mixture of the following drugs: sandalwoodpowder, myrrh, aloewood-powder, incense, saffron, carnation blossoms, laurel leaves (all in equal quantities);6. Mars-sphere:as an isolated incense pulverized seeds of onions may be used; as an intensified substance use the following mixture seeds of onions, leaves of stinging nettles, grains of mustard seed, hemp seeds, rue-leaves and peppermint-leaves; all in equal quantities and in pulverized form;7. Jupiter-sphere:use as an isolated incense pulverized saffron and as an intensified incense take a mixture of saffron, linseed, roots of the violet, peony blossoms, betony leaves and birch leaves; an equal quantity of each in pulverized state;8. Saturn-sphere:as an isolated incense use pulverised black poppy seed; as an intensified incense take a mixture of the following in pulverized state and in equal quantities: black poppy seeds, willow leaves, rue leaves, fern, cumin, fennel seeds.For all other spheres a substance in form of a universal mixture will suffice: church incense, myrrh, storax, benzoe and aloe (pulverized and in equal quantities).For each act of censering only the point of a knife should be used either with the uniform drug or the mixture for each evocation.It is not necessary to fill the room with dense smoke; it quite suffices just to have the smell of the relevant drugs.

Consecration Rituals: Summoning SpiritsCONSECRATION RITUAL FOR MAGIC WAND OR SWORD1. Prepare your altar and temple in your usual fashion (including Elemental Tablets on walls and Tablet of Union and tools on altar). For the simple ritual-opening segment, you will also need a red or white candle (which you should light before starting the ritual) and a cup full of water (not the Water Cup). Your Magic Wand or Sword (depending upon which you are consecrating) should be on your altar.2. Perform step 2 of the Opening by Watchtower:Pick up the dagger used for the LBRP with your right hand and knock on the altar three times using its handle. Then walk to the northeast of your circle (moving clockwise) and say loudly with meaning, Hekas, Hekas Este Bebeloi (hay-kahs, hay-kahs es-stay bee-beh-Ioy)! This commands all unwanted entities to leave the area because a ritual is about to begin.3. Perform step 3 of the Opening by Watchtower:Moving clockwise, return to your place behind the altar, facing east. Perform the LBRP and the BRH, making sure to finish with the Analysis of the Keyword.4. Pick up the cup full of water with your left hand and, walking clockwise around your temple, sprinkle water along the perimeter of your magic circle with your right hand, while saying, So therefore first, the priest who governeth the works of Fire must sprinkle with the lustral water of the loud resounding sea.5. Return to your position west of the altar, facing east, and place the cup of water back on the altar. Pick up the candle with your right hand and walk around your temple clockwise, retracing your magic circle in the air with the candle, and saying, And when, after all the phantoms are banished, thou shalt see that Holy and Formless Fire, that Fire which darts and flashes through the hidden depths of the Universe, hear thou the Voice of Fire.6. Place the candle back on the altar,Move clockwise to the northeast corner of your circle and face that direction.Say the following: The visible Sun is the dispenser of light to the Earth. Let me thereforeform a vortex in this chamber that the invisible Sun of the spirit may shine therein from above.Walk clockwise around your circle three times. Each time you pass the east, make the Sign of the Enterer (see LBRP, step 7) in the direction you are moving. This is how you form the vortex mentioned in the last step.After the third time you pass the east and make the Sign of the Enterer, return to the west of your altar and face east. You should feel the vortex of energy in your circle.Make the Sign of the Enterer and say, Holy art Thou, Lord of the Universe.Make the Sign of the Enterer again and say, Holy art Thou, Whom Nature hath not Formed. Make the Sign of the Enterer one more time and say, Holy art Thou, the Vast and Mighty One. Lord of the Light and of the Darkness. Now give the Sign of Silence.9. Perform the Analysis of the Keyword, but instead of letting the Divine Light descend upon you, visualize the Divine Light as a sphere of white light descending upon your Magic Wand or Sword (again, depending upon which one you are consecrating). See the implement glowing in this Divine brilliance.10. As you contemplate the instrument's glow, hold your hands above it, palms facing down, as if blessing it, and say the following, making sure to vibrate the name in bold capital letters: Most Holy EHEIEH (eh-heyyay), bless and consecrate this Wand (or Sword) that it may obtain the necessary virtue, through Thee, Most Holy EHEIEH (eh-hey-yay), Whose Kingdom endureth unto the Ages of the Ages.11. Pick up the implement and hold it above your head with two hands, as if offering it to Heaven. Look up at the instrument and beyond it while saying,To Your service do I dedicate this Wand (or Sword), Vast and Mighty One, in the hope You will find it to be an acceptable instrument with which I may aspire to the Light.12. Lower your Wand (or Sword) and, still holding it with two hands, perform the Middle Pillar Ritual up to step 8 (see Chapter 3). As explained in the last part of step 8 in the Middle Pillar, draw the energy from the dark sphere at your feet up to your shoulders with an inhalation, and force the energy down your arms and into your implement with your next exhalation. Your exhalation should last long enough for you to mentally state the following: I charge thee, creature of wood (or steel), to be an instrument of my will. Feel this energy being absorbed by your Wand (or Sword). Repeat this channeling of energy six or seven times, and with each exhalation, mentally repeat the given affirmation.13. Visualize an aura of white light surrounding your body and Wand (or Sword). Your implement has now become one with your magical being.Spend a few moments contemplating your new connection with your Wand (or Sword). It is now an extension of your body and an instrument of your will. Try to feel with its tip (or blade), as if it were an arm. After about three minutes of meditation in this fashion, your tool's consecration is complete.CONSECRATION OF ELEMENTAL WEAPONSOnce your Magic Wand and Sword are consecrated, you can use them to perform the Golden Dawn consecration rituals for the Elemental Weapons. Some of the sigils and Hebrew names you painted upon these weapons will have to be traced in the air as you vibrate them. Check Chapter 4 to make sure you are tracing the correct ones, as they are only written in Hebrew on your Elemental Weapons. I'm sure you noticed I did not explain the significance of these names in Chapter 4. I did this because they are explained in the following rituals. .Do not consecrate more than one Elemental Weapon at a time. Even though you do not channel personal energy into these implements as you did with the Wand and Sword, the process of consecrating them is fairly lengthy and can cause fatigue if repeated in one period of magical working. You should be both physically and mentally relaxed when performing a consecration, so it is best to consecrate only one of these weapons per day, if possible.CONSECRATION RITUAL FOR FIRE WAND1. Prepare your altar and temple as usual. All the elemental weapons should be present on the altar, along with the consecrated Wand and Sword, the Tablet of Union, a cup full of water, and a red or white candle, which should be lit before the ritual begins. The altar and temple should be prepared in this fashion for the rest of the Elemental Weapon consecrations.2. Perform the simple ritual opening, which is found in steps 2-8 of the Consecration Ritual for Magic Wand or Sword.3. Pick up your Magic Wand in your right hand and your Fire Wand in your left and move clockwise to the south of your circle. The Consecration Ritualfor Implements of the Art can be used to consecrate all your other magicaltools except the Tablet of Union and Elemental Tablets, which are consecratedby the performance of the Watchtower Ritual, and the Triangle of the Art which is consecrated at the beginning of each evocation (more on the Trianglelater on in this book).Unlike the previous tools, there is an effective way to consecrate the rest ofyour magical implements (such as your mirror and censer) at the same time.The only limitation here is how many tools you can fit on your altar at one time.Remember, your Wand, Sword (or Dagger), and Elemental Weapons have toalso be on the altar. Therefore, because of space limitations, you may have toperform two separate consecration rituals to dedicate all your tools.1. Set up your altar and temple as usual. Place the tools to be consecrated ontop of the Tablet of Union in the center of your altar.2. Perform the Opening by Watchtower, up to and including step 17.3. Perform the Analysis of the Keyword and draw the sphere of white brillianceabove you onto the unconsecrated tools on your altar. See yourimplements glowing in this white light.4. As you contemplate the glow of the instruments on your altar, hold yourhands above them, palms facing down as if blessing them, and say thefollowing, making sure to vibrate the name in capital letters: Most HolyEHEIEH (eh-hey-yay), bless and consecrate these instruments of the magicalart, that they may obtain the necessary virtues, through Thee, Most HolyEHEIEH (eh-hey-yay), Whose Kingdom endureth unto the Ages of the Ages.5. Wrap each instrument in either a black or white piece of silk and let noone else touch them.Summoning spirits: Astral EvocationThe calling of the spirit is accomplished in two steps in an astral evocation.Part I1. After the magician performs the Opening by Watchtower, he or she has to sit in the chair before the altar, facing the mirror or crystal.

2. Still holding the Magic Wand in the right hand, the magician must hold the sigil of the entity in his or her left hand and look at it.

3. The sigil should be drawn in an appropriate color ink on a new piece of white paper.

Using the same gaze as if skrying , the sigil should be stared at for a few minutes while the name of the entity is repeated mentally. This should be repeated for as long as it normally takes for the magician's skrying faculties to awaken.

4. When this amount of time has elapsed, the first stage of contact is complete. Using the sigil as a psychic transmitter, the magician has now established a link with the entity.

5. After a link between the magician and the entity is formed, it is then possible to command the entity to appear.

To do this, the magician must look up from the sigil in his or her left hand and gaze into the mirror or crystal.

While doing so, the previously memorized conjuration to the spirit should be pronounced as the magician begins skrying. This conjuration has to be spoken firmly and with Divine Authority, but should at the same time be pronounced in a low and somewhat monotonous voice to help maintain concentration on the process of skrying. The entity should manifest on the astral plane in a matter of moments, and the magician should become aware of its presence in the normal amount of time it takes for his or her skrying faculties to awaken.

Part IIHere we come to the second important part of an astral evocation: the viewing of and communication with the entity. Once the entity appears within the crystal or mirror, the magician has to establish its identity.

Once the entity disappears from view, the magician can perform the Closing by Watchtower.

The LBRP and BRH included in the Closing ensure that the entity is completely banished to its sphere.

EVOCATION RITUAL TEMPLATE1. Start by putting seal in the triangle. (will need 2 seals 1x hand; 1x triangle).Seals will be cut in a shape of circle.

2. Enter circle, meditate to get grounded and conduct LBRP.

3. Conduct Crowley's "Bornless invocation"

When conducting a conjuration (it may take around 11 times). But when it works you should be able to feel a presence.

The conjuration should indicate that the spirit should show itself - when it does it should look like a shadow, mist, or an image in the mind's eye.

4. Provide orders - this should be pre-prepared/ drafted

5. Give license to depart. The license should be delivered until the spirit's presence is no longer felt.

6. Perform another banishing ritual. The ritual items should be stored away and if you use a seal, which is now 'activated' this should be kept in a safe place all the time.

NERO'S EVOCATION RITUALEvocation of a Salamander1. Have the four elemental candles in each quarter (lit) and a single white cande in the centre (unlit) in front of dark mirror/ scrying device.

2. Recite "Hekas Hekas Este Bebeloi!"

3. LBRP (trad. by earth), LIRP (trad by fire), LBRH open the watchtower of the South (drawing invoking pentagrams over the Elemental tablet as you vibrate the enochian hierarchy of the tablet).

4. Extinguish all elemental candles except for the red one in the South and use it to light the centre white candle.

5. Recite oration/ address/ intent while staring at the candle in front of your scrying device.

6. Maintain your one-pointed focus on the scrying device whilst tracing an intuitive sigil (3D) in the air.

Remember: do NOT follow the flame with your eyes. Now close your eyes tight and with a deep inhalation as if you were breathing in the sigil. See the retina burn begin to form its own life.

Now with a sharp exhale blow out the while candle (and life into the sigil). Open your eyes and return your one-pointed stare into your scrying device.

Evocation of Ghob (earth gnome)1. Use solomon set up with a triangle of the art.

2. Use earthly incense and on either side of triangle placed smooth stones and a small cup full of salt.

3. Before the triangle, placed the Golden Dawn elemental disk (Tattwa) and place Ghob's sigil on top. Facing north.

4. Banished space with the LBRP, LBRH and then sat at altar for a while in prayer for protection and success.

5. Called forth earth energy using a form of the SIRP and connected this to aura using the elemental attunement ritual.

6. After this, sat facing north and took time in silence contemplating the earth symbols before me and feeling the earth energy around/ in me and then slowly repeated the Prayer of the Gnomes from Agrippa.7. Once all of this was complete, I turned my attention upon the sigil of Ghob. After some time was spent concentrating upon this, I spoke the call, making sure to call him in the name and power of Adonai Ha'Aretz and Adonai Melekh, along with the appropriate archangel (Auriel) and Kerbum/ Angel (Phorlakh).

8. After a few minutes and repeating the call a few times Ghob showed up in the Triangle.

Evocation of ElementalOn Saturn-day, hour of Saturn. Sun, Moon and Saturn all in Virgo. 11:30-12:30 (P.M.) GMT, 30/8/2008 in daylight (unfortunately).

Physical circle and triangle (towards North), a sword for rituals, notebook and pen in circle. Sigil between circle and triangle (next time Ill place the sigil in the center of triangle for better manifestation), no scrying tool. Patchouli incense sticks, green candles, rocks and bowl of sea salt at sides of the triangle.

Started chanting Ghobs name while concentrating on the sigil, and after a few minutes recited a call to Ghob (by the names of Adonai Melekh, Adonai ha-aretz, Auriel, Phorlakh and Kerub), and ended up repeating the call a few times.

I felt sure that he was there, but didnt see him. I sat down and asked Ghob to confirm his presence, and all candle flames flickered (no windows were open,) I didnt feel very convinced though (although now later on it seems kinda obvious sign, but magical consciousness seems to have different standards) I asked to know his name, and he said Ghob. I asked to know his nature, and he said his nature was to work with physical earth and mediate between physical and spiritual earths. Then I said a prewritten welcome to Ghob, which included a petition that he remains present until ceremonially licensed to depart.

I made the questions audibly:

Q. Can you project an image of yourself onto my mind? A. Yes. (I had drawn a smiling fellow in my notebook, maybe three feet tall, it wasnt very detailed though. He had a green or brown hat.)

Q. Can you teach me how to become more patient?A. (I got the impression that adopting a zen like attitude and re-attuning with natural flow of things might help.)

Q. Is there any Earth related power you would be willing to bestow upon me?A. (Didnt hear a definitive yes or anything, moved on to next question)

Q. Is there a good way to bless my new crystal ball?A. I had thoughts of the Sun (maybe de-charging?), the Moon magnetizing and Water purifying. Maybe his message was that nature has all the tools I need to accomplish a good blessing, as there didnt seem to be any ritualistic acts involved.

Q. Can you harmonize element Earth in my sphere?A. (Saw some Earth symbols, moved on)

Q. Can I meditate a moment on your energy?A. Ok, if a moment. This idea looked good on paper but felt kinda stupid in actual practice, or my execution of it did, anyway. (Spirits wanna keep their personal space too) Anywho I transferred my consciousness inside the triangle and while meditating on Ghobs presence saw a vision of an ancient tree that reached higher than other trees in a thick forest. I imagined its roots connected to all the trees in the forest and that it represented Ghob as the King of the millions of gnomes.)

Q. What method would you prefer to be called with?A. This is good. (I guess he meant I should stick with circle + triangle)

Q. Is there any other symbol for you?A. (My astral senses sucked during this ritual, and yeah, I did see a symbol but didnt see it quite well enough, ended up drawing three sketches and none of them seemed like what I saw or was supposed to see.)

I then gave the License to Depart, did the SBRP of Earth and banished by LBRP and LBRH and declared the temple closed.

Prayer of the AirBardon says:I desist from giving any closer description of these intelligences for the simple reason that beings of the air are, apart from being very shy, not at all pleased with men. The Prayer of the Sylphs must be recited next, after tracing their sign in the air with the quill of an eagle.

Prayer to WaterWater is exorcised by imposition of hands, breathing and speech; consecrated salt and a little of the ash which remains in the pan of incense are mingled also with it. The aspergillus is formed of twigs of vervain, periwinkle, sage, mint, ash and basil, tied by a thread taken from a virgin's distaff and provided with a handle of hazelwood from a tree which has not yet fruited. The characters of the seven spirits must be graven thereon with the magic bodkin. The salt and ash must be consecrated separately, saying:Over the Salt"May wisdom abide in this salt, and may it preserve our minds and bodies from all corruption, by Hochmael and in the virtue of Ruach-Hochmael! May the phantoms of Hyle depart herefrom; that it may become a heavenly salt, salt of the earth and earth of salt; that it may feed the threshing ox, and strengthen our hope with the horns of the flying bull! Prayer of WaterBardon says:Fig. 9: Amasol- red colour to be used for the first evocation - is commissioned to cause storms on the sea either by himself or by his subjects or to calm them depending on what Divine Providence has ordered him to do. Amasol informs the magician how to get under his control - from the magical as well as the quabbalistic point of view - the magnetic power of the water. He places at the magician's disposal also excellent subordinated beings who help to realize his wishes by the watery element.

Fig. 10: Ardiphne - colour of sign also red - is a good initiator and teaches the magician how he should, by force of the waterelement, work his influence by ritual magic on man and animal in the right manner. If the influenced object gets somehow into contact with the water-element, for instance by rain, washing, drinking of beverages etc. then Ardiphne or his servants will help to speed up the influence and, in consequence, to realize the magician's desires.

Evocation of elemental FireBardon says:Fig. 1: Pyrhum.

In the kingdom of the elements Pyrhum is a powerful spirit of fire in the rank of a king or sovereign. A great number of fire-spirits are subject to his power and are constantly at his disposal. He will reveal special methods to the magician who rules him; methods by which the magician may have striking successes with the help of the fire-element. Pyrhum may also put spirits of the elements at the magician's disposal who, being in possession of the same powers as he himself, are able to bring about the same effects as he himself would do. The sign of his seal must be drawn in red colour on a piece of blotting paper at the time of his first evocation and engrave the sign of seal on it. A talisman produced in this manner must, however, always have the shape of a pentagon. The latter statement goes for all signs of seals for beings of the fire-principle.Fig. 2: Aphtiph

is also a spirit of the fire having the same rank as Pyrhum. He therefore is able to bring about the same effects as Pyrhum. The only difference between the two lies in the fact that Aphtiph is not so active as Pyrhum and therefore is easier to control. He has a greater affection for human beings and can give the magician various magical information on the fire-element; for instance, how, by help of the fire-element and various effective rites excellent effects can be obtained and the like. Aphtiph will initiate the magician, should he wish it, thoroughly into the magic of the fire-element, using special methods for this purpose. He is also quite willing to offer the magician the services of the beings subject to his authority, and confers the same powers that he himself possesses to them. The sign of his seal must also be drawn in red colour for the first evocation.

Eliphas Levi says:Fire is exorcised by the sprinkling of salt, incense, white resin, camphor and sulphur; by thrice pronouncing the three names of the genii of fire: MICHAEL, king of the sun and lightning; SAMAEL, king of volcanoes; and ANAEL, prince of the Astral Light; and, finally, by reciting the Prayer of the Salamanders.

colour of his sign: black - is also a mighty king of gnomes. He influences greatly all metals that are to be found under the surface of the earth. If the magician so wishes, Ordaphe will lead him through his kingdom and show him all treasures that are under the earth in the form of ore. However, the magician must be careful not to request anything coarsely materialistic from him and he must never use these spirit-servants for avaricious purposes. He would, in that case, always be in danger of having immense difficulties in getting out of the range and power of this king of gnomes.Fig. 19: Orova

colour of sign also black - is the next mighty ruler in the kingdom of gnomes. Apart from the usual range of powers apertaining to a spirit of the earth Orova has been specially ordered to guard all stones and precious stones to be found in the earth. He is able to change pebbles into precious stones and he can teach the magician how to load stones with the element of the earth or by any other methods for special purposes. The occult meaning of all precious stones is well known to Orova, and the magician can find out about this especially for producing talismans, lucky stones etc. Should the magician request it, this powerful ruler over gnomes can place at his disposal many subjucts of his kingdom. But the magician must take heed not to succumb to the brilliant appearance of Orova. He should not mind being taught certain things by beings like this, but he should never ask for anything material of them.

Amen."Astral EvocationsSome original Intelligences of the Zone girdling the EarthAs soon as the magician practising ritual magic has become true master of the beings of the elements he may take a further step in his magical development and start dealing with the next sphere, with the zone girdling the earth, (i. e. the mental-astral sphere of our planet). Many beings abide in this earth-zone or zone girdling the earth, with whom the magician can get in touch in order to increase his knowledge and to strengthen his power. Out of this sphere I again name in the following those beings with whom Ihave been in connection a long time ago. The magician can of course establish a connection with other beings of this sphere by mental and astral wandering too.Fig. 1:Aschmunadai - is a powerful initiate in the zone girdling the earth. He has the rank of an absolute monarch. His universal seal, as shown in picture 1, is very complicated, but is a graphical representation of all the fundamental qualities with which this high intelligence is equipped with regard to the zone girdling the earth and also with regard to our physical world. For the first evocation this seal has to be drawn in blue, red, green and yellow colours and has to be placed into the triangle outside the magic circle in front of the magician. As soon as he has been able to contact Aschmunadai he will get from him an abbreviated sign.Aschmunadai can make the magician acquainted with all laws governing the mental and astral sphere of the zone girdling the earth and enable him to apply these laws. With Aschmunadai's help the magician can get under his control the total zone girdling the earth and gain plenty of knowledge. Since Aschmunadai is in possession of a great number of servants, he can place at the magician's disposal, if asked by him, servants who will assist him either in the zone girdling the earth or in our physical world and do everything he wants.

Casting a circle WitchcraftI light the candles on my altar which I always place in the East. Put your altar wherever it feels the most right to you. These represent the Lady and her Lord. I set fire to my incense. I center and ground myself. If I am circling with another, we hold hands and do three Oms to bring our energies into balance. At this point I am going to walk you through casting a Circle. This is NOT the way I do a Circle privately, but it is the way I do it publicly. My way of doing it is oathbound and I may only reveal that to those who are properly prepared and known to me. First, call the Lady and the Lord to join you in your circle. Do this with reverence and respect. They are your Deities and should be invited never commanded! A simple Invocation to each follows: Lady of the Night, Mistress of the Day Please hear the call of your daughter/son (or simply your magical name) Silvery Moon Woman watch as I lay This Circle of Power . Great Hunter, Father, Son and Lover Hear my call if you will Laughing Man, Eternal Man watch over This Circle of Power.So, you have invited your Deities in. Take a moment to feel Their presence. Smile at the Lady's warmth...the Lord's being. These are your Deities and are indeed there for you. Once you know that They are attending your rite, you begin to cast the Circle. You first will cast the Circle with fire and air, elements of East and South. Incense is fire and air. Present the burning incense at the altar and then walk your Circle deosil. Deosil is the direction of the sun as it travels the Earth. When you return to the altar, replace the incense. NOTE: Use a hotpad if you are in danger of burning yourself! I have a small ceramic cauldron made by a Pagan potter, but I also use a large shell on occasion. Once the air and fire have cast the Circle, then join salt and water together. Again, with reverence! This is a religious ceremony you are doing so try to be respectful. The Goddess says in Her charge "all things in reverence and mirth" so if you giggle so be it....but do try to start with respect. Take the earth and water (salt and water) and present it over the altar. Now, traveling deosil, asperge your Circle with water and earth. Asperge is to lightly flick water from the bowl with your fingers and cast to the edges of your Circle. Return to the altar and replace the water bowl. Now, with your finger, your athame, your wand....cast your Circle with Spirit. That is you, your energy, your heart and spirit at work. You may say words as you go if you wish. A simple Circle invocation could go something like this: Be thou cast, Circle. As I walk thy boundaries So do you hold my power. Set me apart from the world of man Make me apart form the realm of spirit. Hold me between the worlds as I work my magic.You may see or feel energy coming from you as you walk the edge of your Circle. Or you may not! Don't worry about it. When you return to the altar, salute the East. Now, at this point you may call the Quarters if you wish. A simple Quarter call could be: Spirit and guardian of the (direction) I do call you to my Circle. Do thou watch from the (direction) and keep me safe. Witness my workings and lend me thy aid Thou guardian of the (direction)Do embellish on any of this as you see fit. This is just meant to help those of you who have never done a Circle and are unsure as to the actual mechanics of casting. Remember that you must follow your own path! Read! Ask questions! Learn and grow!

Evoking EternityRITUAL TOOLS CONSECRATIONA RITUAL DAGGER is needed for these Operations, symbolic of the Will of the Evocator. The handle of the dagger must be black, and the length of the blade must be at least six inches. Despite the advice of the neo-pagan white light mentors who would have ye harm none in any similitude, if the blade is not sharp upon purchase it should be made so. It is also appearing to be the trend to seek out on the walls of the occult shops and pawnbrokers the most ornate, jeweled, gothic-looking daggers to use in ritual. Avoid these pretty distractions, and attempt to keep the dagger as nondescript as possible.

A BRASS, TIN, OR SILVER CHALICE should be obtained, being made entirely of the chosen metal rather than a veneer or plate. The cup should also bear no specific markings or engravings. Despite the obvious relation to the element of water and all that such a correlation may symbolize to those that look for such signs, the chalice has the ritual purpose of holding liquid. The type of metal and the design of the cup only have virtue in the ability to contain the energies that will imbue the said liquid as it is used in ritual.

AN ALTAR is also needed for the rituals of Evocation. All objects upon the altar are to be functional. The white or black candles serve to illuminate the immediate area, the chalice holds the wine and is the receptive end of the energy of the ritual, and the ritual dagger directs the will of the Sorcerer, and may at times be used to cut.The two candles are to be set at the left and right edges of the altar. The chalice is set to left of the altar to the inside of the candle, and is to be half-filled with wine, meade, water, or blood. The dagger is to be placed likewise to the right, its sharp point towards the Triangle.A journal should be present on the altar, in which the details of the evocation may be recorded immediately after the dismissal of the entity, as well as any specific instructions given by the Summoned spirit. While in the majority it is far better to have the whole of the Operation from start to finish committed to memory, for the purpose of your first few evocation rituals, you may take into the Circle notes that you have made, or even this entire book. Whatever you choose, you must have a bound notebook or guidebook rather than a loose sheet of notepaper.The final object to set upon the altar is the sigil of the spirit, drawn on a five inch square piece of paper or parchment, laid facing down on the altar.Stand behind the altar facing the direction from which you will call the spirit forth. Perform the Invocation of Omnipotence holding the omnipotent force inside of yourself rather t h a n breathing it out. Lay your palms upon the altar, your wrists and your fingers relaxed, and close your eyes. Bring into your inner vision the image of the altar, feeling it beneath your fingers and seeing it clearly in your mind. The floor and walls of the Temple are unimportant, as are the objects upon the altar. Inhale, feeling the bright omnipotence within you stir, feeling your torso and your arms and your hands tingling with the electricity that is about to flow through them. Hold the breath for a moment and sense the radiance filling your chest, ready to explode into the world. Release the air through your mouth and simultaneously release as much of the power within you through your hands into the altar. Look down at the altar and see the Divine glow emanating from it, the granules of its composition all singing with life. Before you sever the connection between your hands and the altar, seal the power and light within it, so that its ever fiber will contain the omnipotence long after it has crumbled into dust. Inhale, regain your focus upon the altar, and state in a clear, smooth voice,"Creation of (stone/wood/ plastic), be the altar and the foundation upon which my universe will be brought up into existence. I seal t h i s calling upon you, and I seal the power to perform your function within you, Eternal."

The same transfer of power and purpose is to be made with the chalice first, cradling the bowl of it in both hands and breathing life into the metal. Call,"Creation of b r a s s / s i l v e r / t i n , be the chalice which holds the power of the Operations of Magick within you and offers the waters of life to the lips of the worthy. I seal this calling upon you, and I seal the power to perform your function within you, Eternal."

Visualize the power being sealed within the molecules of the metal and set the chalice down in its place and take the ritual dagger in your right hand. Clasping both your right hand and the dagger in your left hand, point skywards, hold the dagger a few inches from your sternum and begin infusing it with the omnipotent force within you. When it is brimming with power, call, "Creation of steel, be the dagger through which the will and power of Magick may flow and cause change in this world. I seal this calling upon you, and I seal the power to perform your function within you, Eternal."

Visualize the power and purpose being sealed within the steel, and lower the dagger to your side in your right hand. Walk to the Triangle of Manifestation and, beginning at the point nearest the Circle, trace the outline of the Triangle. Feel the force within you traveling down your arm, through your hand, filling the dagger and leaving its tip in the form of a fiery light. As the point of the dagger passes over the lines, visualize them glowing red, as if a line of spiritual fire has replaced the drawn lines. If you have engraved characters or images within the Triangle, these do not need to be traced.When you have returned to the original point, hold the dagger at your side in your left hand and stretch out your right hand over that point. See in your inner vision the glowing red Triangle that you have drawn in the spiritual world. Sense its purpose of providing a place wherein the spirit may manifest. State,"Creation of Magick, be the Triangle of Manifestation in which the spirit (spirit's name) will materialize before me when called. Hold within you the elements and forces required of (spirit's name) to manifest in a beholdable form before me. I seal this calling upon you, and I seal the power to perform your function within you, Eternal."

Before you leave the Triangle, light the coals within the brazier, readying them for the incense.Taking the dagger again in your right hand, move to the inside of the Circle, touching the point of it which connects with the Triangle with the tip of the dagger. Again channel power through the dagger, emitting a fiery blue energy as it leaves the blade and touches the ground. This can also be visualized as an indigo flame that burns on the ground touched by the dagger's blade. Holding the t ip of the dagger to the drawn Circle, move deiseil (clockwise or "sunwise") for angelic, benevolent, or altruistic entities, or move widdershins (counterclockwise) for demonic, malign, or baneful entities, tracing an "astral double" of the Circle's perimeter in the fiery blue light. Again, if you have decided to use an elaborate mandala, all that is necessary to trace is the most basic figure of t h e Circle. When you have returned to the Circle's point of origin, hold the tip of the dagger on that point which connects the Circle to itself and again to the Triangle, and call,"Creation of Art, be the Circle in which the Eternal is made manifest now and in which all things formed and unformed, past and future are brought into present reality. I seal this calling upon you, and I seal the power to perform your function within you, Eternal."

Visualize the melding of the spiritual blue fire with the Circle that you have drawn on the ground. Return to your place behind the altar, set the dagger in its place, and look out upon the Circle and the Triangle. With your eyes open and your Vision active, see the red glow of the Triangle and know its purpose.See the burning indigo Circle and know its function. Take a deep breath in and feel in your core the reality of these two images that you have consecrated. Look down at the altar, the chalice, and the dagger, and see them aglow with the life that you have given them. Look inside of yourself and feel the Divine Power within still radiating, still glowing with the brightness of a million suns, still ready to pour its power into the universe.

Take the chalice in your left hand, the cup of it cradled in your fingers, and rest its base on the center of the altar, keeping your left hand under it. See the light that has been sealed into the altar rising up like steam to warm the liquid in the chalice, climbing up the stem like ivy. Hold your right hand over the mouth of the chalice, your index and middle fingers extended. Inhale and gather the omnipotence within yourself into your torso.
