WHY JOIN?Do you love reading and then discussing books? Are your family and friends no help because they haven’t read it yet? Come join one of the new Readings State Library Book Clubs! We promise you a structured discussion, convened by one of our staff with snacks, drinks and people who have read the book. Perfect for when you don’t want your Book Club to devolve entirely into a gossip session (though we can’t promise there will be no gossip). The Queer Book Club’s first book for 2019 will be One Hundred Years of Dirt by Rick Morton.

WHEN AND WHERE?The Readings State Library Queer Book Club will meet in the shop on the second Wednesday of every month from 6pm – 8pm. Our first Book Club sessions will commence in March 2019.

HOW MUCH?The Readings State Library Queer Book Club costs $50.00 for four sessions from March to June 2019 inclusive. This cost includes refreshments and snacks at each session. You can pay by cash, credit card or EFTPOS at the counter. After payment is received, we will provide you with a receipt and

a Book Club membership card. You will also receive 20% off each month’s Book Club book at any Readings shop (excluding online) upon presentation of your Book Club membership card.
