TigerTigerTillyTilly

Once there was a tiger cub and Tilly was her name, Her eyes were black, her paws were white, her fur was bright as flame.

She was a gentle animal, but brave and playful too,But sadly, little Tilly was locked up inside a zoo.

Tilly dreamed to see the world, she wanted to explore,With every passing day she felt this longing more and more.

The zoo was a cold and lonely place, she couldn’t bear to stay.So Tilly hatched a cunning plan – she would have to run away!

One evening, during feeding time, her cage was left ajar,Tilly thought, My chance has come! The entrance can’t be far!

She mustered all her courage, knowing what she had do,She crept towards the opened door and bravely ran on through!

She quickly dashed across the zoo, her heart pumping with fear,Her bright eyes darted right to left, to check the coast was clear.

When she reached the entrance gate, she felt a surge of glee, Had this finally happened? Could she finally be free?

With all her strength and all her might, she pushed the gate aside, She walked into the big, wide world with dignity and pride.

She had adventures round the globe, from Adelaide to Rome,She never saw that zoo again – the world was now her home.

Physical Education - Gymnastics

We are going to be doing some basic gymnastics work while you are at home. We missed gymnastics last year so we need to

keep up-to-date with particular skills. When we can come back to school we can focus on more difficult skills. There are some

optional activities as well to keep you active while indoors. Remember students to try and be as active as possible. Have brain

breaks, go for walks/runs/rides with your families.

NB: Year 3 will submit a short video (no longer than 10 seconds) of either a motorbike landing or log roll on Seesaw for

feedback. Year 4 will have a task to submit next week.

Safety:

● Please do these practice skills on some grass or carpet in your house. Nothing you will be doing will be too difficult or

put you at risk of injury.

● If you are doing the skills inside, remove all objects that you could hit or knock into.

● The students attending school will be doing these same skills on Ginkgo Playground.

● If you find a skill too difficult, you can skip it.

● Make sure you warm up before attempting any skills.
