Bolts in the Bathtub
A Newsletter for Quilting, Quilt Lovers & Friends
August, September & October 2014
It’s Hot, Hot, Hot. So come into the store and take a class in our cool, cool classroom.
(We had a small electrical problem, but our fabulous electrician and air conditioning
guys have us back up & running). As summer transitions into fall, new and larger pro-
ject work their way into our lives.
It’s beginning to look like Christmas! Oh my goodness, whether you celebrate Christ-
mas, Hanukkah or Kwanza there are gifts to complete, (or start!) for the loved ones
on your list. Come on in and we will help you pick out the right project. Does your dad
need a large quilt to cuddle under in front of the TV? How about some new pajamas
for everyone to wear. Make it easy on yourself, take the bottoms class and purchase
a matching ‘T”. There are classes in embroidery, totes, buckets & more. There were
so many we had trouble fitting them all into the schedule.
August 14th - 16th are I Love Fabric Days. We are celebrating by double stamping
for all regular priced fabric cut at the cutting table and two $50 gift certificates.
Something might have been mentioned about fat quarters. Hmmmmm.
If you have plans to sew Labor Day weekend make sure you stop by the store by Fri-
day night. We will once again be closed all weekend. We are planning e a fun new class-
room floor.
We’re still working out details for our “Fight Like a Girl” event on October 25th, so
check with us and watch our Facebook page.
We’ll see you at the cutting table,
Dawna, Fay and the rotary crew.

Many classes have kits that are
required and we have tried to keep
their expense to a minimum.
Many classes do not require a kit,
but do require supplies.
We ask that you purchase the class
supplies from Bolts in the Bathtub.
This is the only way we can
maintain low class fees.

Besides giving it a thorough cleaning, we’ll lubricate it, and check it from hand wheel to bobbin case, making fac-
tory precise adjustments as necessary. We will return it to you cleaned up and in tip top shape.
When you bring your machine in for repair, please bring the following items to help us service it faster:
1) Bobbin and bobbin case (thread tension needs to be adjusted with your
bobbin case).
2) Zigzag foot (#1) and regular, not straight stitch, throat plate.
3) Buttonhole foot, if you have a computerized machine.
4) Bring the machine in its case, along with the foot control and power cord
and embroidery module if it has one.
5) For sergers, also bring four spools of the same thread.
If you are experiencing a problem, bring an example of the fabric and
thread you are using. Sometimes we can diagnose and correct the problem
