IT InitiativesIT Initiatives

The BOI organized an IT related investment mission to Jaffna on 21st and 22nd of June with assistance of ICTA and SLASSCOM .  

•The Investment Facilitation Forum Chaired by the Government Agent, for Jaffna Mr. K.Ganesh was held at the Jaffna Kachcheri. •A Forum was chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. N. Shanmugalingam at the University of Jaffna with the faculty heads and university undergraduates.

• MediGain, a successful medical transcription company to set up a high end BPO in Jaffna starting with 150 expanding to 1000.

 

• PC House to set up a 100 seat financial accounting KPO in Jaffna.

 

• Orion City, is working with BOI to establish IT/BPO park in Jaffna to encourage startup & established companies to expand.

Details are being finalized to set up IT/BPO investments by several companies
