A “learning” tool to capture lessons learned

With a clear goal Deliver ideas to address the Challenge!

But…..

Pick a Challenge Ensure that this is something that will be supported

Better if it is something that will happen anyway

Pick a Challenge Leader Needs some “personality” and desire to engage

Create the Challenge Question Spouse test

Pick Evaluation team Prepare them to engage during live phase

Key Lessons

1. As far as possible, don’t launch a Challenge just for fun! Ensure it is helping ideate around a real need that would be addressed anyway!

2. Treat the Challenge like a project, run it end to end! • Including robust hand off!

3. Let the process evolve, Challenge by Challenge

4. Be flexible! Understand that there is a random element to this method, which is in part why we do it! • Be ready to improvise and react to what is emerging!

5. Treat the Community with respect!
