1．Installation guide

The name of software described in this guide is Body Worn Camera Manager which is developed

independently by Shenzhen Huadean Technology Co., Ltd.

The software should be installed in the better performance of the computer or server, to ensure the stable

operation of the system and data security.

During the installation process, please ensure that the power supply is stable, and to ensure there is enough

space for installation.

Because the software will continue to update, the diagram contained in this guide may noe be consistent with

your software. If there is any doubt, please consult the after-sales service staff.

2．Installation preparation

2.1 Software uninstall

If you have installed any version of “Body Worn Camera Tool” and/or “BWC Manager”

,Please uninstall them first , to avoid the conflict of new software installation.

2.2 Software acquisition

If you need to get the software installation package, please contact your local sales representative in

your countries or regions.

If you are using other kinds of software from Huadean, please make sure the devices it can support.

2.3 Running environment requirements

Type content

A．confirm system versionSoftware supported system：

Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, both 32bit and 64 bit.

B．confirm the IE version

It is recommended to use IE11.0 or up. Or the browser with IE kernel.

【Note】If the map page can’t be displayed properly, change or update your

browser automatically.

C．hardware requirement CPU：Dual core, 3GHz

Memory：4G DDR2

HDD storage：160G(according to your requirement)

Bandwidth：10/100M

【Note】The above is the basic requirement of the server, only for reference.

【Remark】Please make sure the server PC has the local D disk, not only a local C disk.

3．Software installation

3.1 Center Server installation

Step1. Double-click , start installing. As shown in Picture1 :

Step2. Click【Install】to go to next page, here is a about DirectUSB, just click【OK】. As shown in Picture2:

Step3. Here is a prompt, if you want to reinstall AmbaUSB3.4.8, just select 【OK】, As shown in Picture3:

【NOTE】We suggest you select D disk, to make data and software safety.

4．Operating Instructions

【NOTE】Before running this software, please make sure you have inserted the U-key into the PC.

4.1 Start to Use

Insert the U-key and double click the icon “ ” to start the program.

【Remark】Please make sure you have plug in the U-key, and there is no body worn camera connected beforerunning the software. The U-key will come along with the docking station.

4.2 Camera

Step1. Running the software, the default function is “Camera”, the software prompts to plug in the camera

Step2. Plug the device ,and the software will import the data from device to software automatically.

【Remark】When the disk capacity is not enough, it will remind that “disk is not enough, please delete the

data in time”.

Step3. When more than one device is importing data, it will display the data collecting status on the

interface(when the icon on the left of alarm is green, it indicates the data collection is finished), display

the user info and data collecting progress. You can plug 10 devices one time at the most.

4.3 Local Data

Step1. The data can be indexed as per No(police’s ID), Name, Device ID, date collection ,File type and File level,

and click the check box to copy, cut, delete, edit and upload one or more data.

2 User name Set User name to ensure the user

3 Record date The date you recorded the video, audio, photo

4 Level File level:

5 File name The name of the file

7 Duration How long has the video been recorded

8 Size The size of the file

9 Import date When did you import the file

10 Device ID The device ID of the BWC

11 Remark You can type some important info here to describe this file

4.4 Device Setup

In this interface, you can set Camera Info, Device password, User Info and Device Setup:【NOTE】Please plug in the camera first.

3 password Password for accessing the setting option

4 Username Set the user name for users

5 Group name The company’s name which the users belong to

6 User number the number of the user

8 Watermark Set this info ,you can see it on the screen, for example : test video

9 Load Settings Save the current settings of device on PC for backup as *.ini file

10 Use Settings Use/ upload the settings to device with *.ini file

5．FAQ

5.1 Installation error

Q: installation errors

A: 1. your PC/Server has installed other versions of HUADEAN’s software(BWC tool, BWC Manager), please

uninstall them first.

2. please plug the U-key before running the software

5.2 Can’t upload data via FTP server

Q: the FTP connection is failed.

A:please settings the User and Password in the server-side(PMedia platform), then verify the connection.

5.3 The software can’t identify device after the device has plugged in.

Q: The software can’t identify device after the device has plugged in.A:Please make sure the driver for device has been installed correctly ,you can check it in device management of PC,

then plug the device again.
