I. Introduction

The work brings off how to incorporate using visual aids and techniques for using the blackboard. The intention of the work, is to show that there are several teaching instruments, where it falls to the teacher, to use his good sense and his creativity for certainly to be well happened in his teaching. Therefore, in order to facilitate and apply teaching in the language classroom teachers should use different ways and methods which can make their lessons easy. Visual aids are used to facilitate teaching and learning processes to both, students and teachers, which include pictures, objects, and things for students to look at. The work was elaborated basing on the bibliographical consultations.1. Using visual aids There are different types of visual aids used in the learning and teaching process, as a result, it is very important and advisable for a good teacher who wants to facilitate his teaching process to use them. According to Doff (1999: 81), visual aids can be considered as pictures, objects or things, for students to look at. In addition Thompson (2001: 26) states that there are many teaching aids that can be produced easily and cheaply with local materials. He also added that, you dont have to be an artist to produce them anyone can make them. Therefore, what is certain is that if we do make the effort to produce our own teaching aids, and use them, our lessons will be more interesting and successful and our students will benefit greatly in their learning, and once we have made them we can use them again and again, year after year. Therefore illustrations and the use of visual aids are extremely important in the teaching, in language classroom arouse interest and concentrates attention at the beginning of a lesson and it elicit already known language, and illustrate a new language item, often vocabulary item. Using visual aids in the classroom also stimulates discussion, which as result will motivate the students to use the language effectively outside the classroom.

In the researchers point of view, visual aids are materials in which teachers of different areas can use in the classroom in order to achieve their objectives as to facilitate their learning and teaching process.1.4 Advantages and disadvantages of using visual aids Advantages Gower and Roger (1995: 70) state that visuals can take many forms, but the most common are real objects realia, pictures and photographs, among other things, visuals are used because:

They focus attention on meaning and helps to make the language used in the class more real and alive;

Students have something to look and keeps the attention and make the class more interesting;

Good visual aids are not used once, but more times and can be shared by different teachers.

Illustrate a new language item or vocabulary item.

Disadvantages of using visual aids

Therefore, Gattegno (1972: 82) added that while using visual aids in the classroom teachers can come across with the following problems:

They are time consuming and tiresome when preparing;

Some visual aids are expensive to buy, e.g. markers and coloured pens, real objects, papers and others;

Sometimes other visual aids are not easy to carry from one place to another.2. Blackboard

Blackboard is the simplest and accessible vehicle of use of visual messages. According to Sant'Anna, blackboard is a resource that every school disposes; it is a way fast, safe, cheap and efficient to dynamic the teaching.

Blackboard provides a more efficient memorization, clearer interpretation, easier understanding, an effective and durable learning and acquisition of new knowledge. 2.1. The aims of use blackboard.

To reinforce the teacher's exhibition; To make possible simultaneous work with the whole group; To facilitate organization of the contents; To schematize the content in the beginning and at the end of the class;

2.2. Techniques of the use blackboard

To clear well the blackboard; To be beside the blackboard when you are using it; When you are writing, you have to begun on top and of the left for the right;

Write a readable letter;

Draw simple and schematic drawings; Avoid to speak while you are writing in the blackboard; After explain an information you have to clean the blackboard in order to do not let it full of information; Underline important sentences;

Avoid long texts;

ConclusionHaving done and observed that using visual aids is helpful to students, therefore it is advisable to use them because they easily facilitate the process of English language learning and teaching in the classroom that is the only way which can bring classroom motivation and that many students could be able to interact freely during their lessons, not so is the most important aspect and method of trying to facilitate the process of English language teaching as they focus attention on meaning and helps to make the language use in the classroom more real and live since students have something to look at and keep the attention and make the class more interesting. There a many teaching aids that you can produce easily and cheaply with local material, you dont have to be an artist to produce them thats anyone can make them. The teacher should prepare his lesson and available visual aids which could focus on the lesson and be sure that the students will be able to understand them clearly and the teachers should feel free when using visual aids during their lessons.
