One organization on the Hill is now planning to "clean house." Others should do the same. A definite program or no program and surrender of the charter might clear up some crowded meeting periods, if nothing else.

No particular organization is singled out and charge with a dirty backyard, or lack of definite program, as you choo.e. 'I11e right to organize and to engage in activity collectively is not challenged, but to let an organization die for lack of ptupose is a reflection on the school and on the group.

Let's accept our purposes and aims as set forth in the constitution of our organization or let's withdraw membership. With so many organizations a vigorous life is difficult and new ones with firm purposes will not attempt e tablishment of chapters. A house cleaning is in order.

I -TRA.MURA.L ATHLETICS

For the most part interfraternity basketball is started very sa tisfactorily, but there is one phase of the play that needs a little thought and consideration if the games are to continue. ~Iost of the groups have entered the games with a good sportsmanship attitude, but a few haYe allowed the old personal and fraternity prejudices to enter into their competition. The result, if this attitude continues to predominate games, will be to ha\·e inter-fraternity games discontinued and the original purpose, "Athletics for everyone," will be defeated. Our institution is not so large that we can afford to have much animosity between the rnrious group., and there certainly is no place for it in institutional athletic competition.-W. J. Wood.
