Board of Park Commissioners Project Summary Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory Connector Project Project No: 218020 Project Approval Request Scope of Work: This is for the architectural and engineering design services for the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory Connector Project that connects the Conservatory with the Embassy Theater along West Jefferson Boulevard. Funding Source: Parks Cumulative Capital Fund Board Approval: Request for proposals were received on September 20 th , 2018. Two proposals were submitted for this project. The Parks Department had a committee that reviewed and evaluated the proposals. MSKTD scored the highest on their proposal; MSKTD was the lowest bidder for this project. At this time I would like to request approval for MSKTD to be awarded this project at a total cost of $58,500.00. Please see the attached bid tab and criteria evaluation form for this project. Hamilton Park Playground Improvement Project Change Order #1 Project No: 217057 Project Change Order Request Original Scope of Work: This is for the installation of the new playground equipment at Hamilton Park. Board Approval: The original project was bid at $61,211.00, and the final billing for this project is $56,399.80 leaving a credit due back to the Parks Department. This Change was due to the removal of the new park benches from this project as well as the change in material pricing. At this time I would like to request approval of a credit of $4,811.20 for this project. Please see the attached change order document for details. I’ll be happy to answer any questions. Thank you. Packard Park Futsal Court Change Order #1 Project Number 217062 RFQ #4265 Project Change Order Request Original Scope of Work: Work includes the following: Convert two tennis courts to two Futsal courts. Contractor applied 400 lineal feet of Armor Crack Repair with Sportsmaster color coat system. The contractor also had to remove the tennis practice backboard and replace with fence fabric to match existing. Board Approval: The original project was bid at $35,546.00, and the final billing for this project is $32,746.00 leaving a credit due back to the Parks Department. This Change was due to cutting existing tennis bollards below the existing asphalt and filling the holes with concrete. Included with this credit is the initial contingency allowance as well. At this time I would like to ask the Board of Park Commissioners for the approval for this credit in the amount of $2,800.00. I will be happy to answer any questions at this time about this change order. Thank you
