Montessori Certification
• Ms. Kries met with Princeton Center for Teacher Education to learn requirements
• Teachers can complete their coursework at PCTE but need to complete their internship at PMCS
• PMCS would need to have fully outfitted Montessori Classrooms
• Cost per teacher is approx. $9000 with supplies and fees
• 3-4 teachers
• Discount for early registration
• PMCS would need to be multi-age across the board
Trailers
• Modspace sent the lease: it was emailed to Board Members for review
• Modspace will pay for part of the repairs
• PMCS must pay approx. $6000 for repairs whether we keep the trailers or not
• Ms. Spivey researching other modular spaces
ACTIVITIES 17 students are presently involved in Chess Club; 26 students are presently involved in Scrabble Club; 14 students participate in Drama Club; PMCS’ Tennis Academy will begin on Wednesday, January 11th from 4:15 to 5:15pm @ Southwest Leadership Academy; Surveys and auditions for our school choir will begin after the holiday; STUDENT SERVICES Developed and approved attendance and truancy letter; Discipline codes were completed for powerhouse (computer input of student infractions will begin next week); Individual group dynamics continue with lower and upper elementary; We did well assisting with parent/teacher conferences; Requesting additional hours per week for social worker; Submitted information for the potential purchase of a much needed school bus CLASSROOM Assisting with classroom observations; Several behavior plans were given to students exhibiting challenging behaviors; Our bullying issues have calmed down a great deal; Student Services Team will conduct a policies and procedures training for staff
