Operation

Operation Mode 1 – Using Integral Run-Down TimerIdealforirregularlyusedfacilitiesTheHC-ST2hastwosettings:high(comfort)andlow(set-back).Thedefaultsettingislow(set-back).TheHC-ST2incorporatesasimplepushbuttonwhichchangestheset-pointfromlow(set-back)tohigh(comfort)forapre-programmedperiodoftime(½hourto7½hoursin½hourincrements).Oncethisperiodoftimehaselapsedthedevicewillautomaticallyreverttoitslow(set-back)setting.Thismethodofcontrolisidealforirregularlyusedfacilitiessuchascommunityhallswheretheset-backsettingwillprovidefrostprotectionwhilethehallisunoccupied.

Operation Mode 2 – Using Remote Programmable TimerIdealforfacilitieswitharegularpatternofuse(withaprovisionforoccasionalcomfortheatingoutsidenormalhours)TheHC-ST2hastwosettings:high(comfort)andlow(set-back)andrequiresaremotesignaltoswitchbetweenoneandtheother.Typicallythissignalisprovidedbyaremotemounted24hour/7dayprogrammabletimer(TIM-D1)thatwillensurethattheheatingsystemoperatesatitslow(set-back)setting,providingfrostprotectionwhileabuildingisunoccupied(typicallyatnightandatweekends).Theprogrammabletimerhasabuilt-inrun-downclock

thatistriggeredbyaremotemounted‘boostbutton’(TIM-B1).Thisfeaturewillprovideatemporarytemperatureboostforapre-determinedlengthoftimeduringaperiodwhenthesystemwouldnormallybeinset-backmode.Theboostcommandcanbecancelledbydepressingthe‘boostbutton’for3seconds.Thissystemisidealforpremisesthathavearegularpatternofusebutmayoccasionallybeusedoutsidenormalhours.Seepage64fordetailsoftimerandboostbutton.
