About the Vessel Design Portfolio
BMT Designers & Planners commisioned its first Vessel Design Portfolio in 2015, drawing on the complete range of experience within the firm and throughout the BMT Group of companies in delivering high-performance, high-value designs for a wide variety of missions and operating environments.
As the year progressed, and copies of the porfolio worked their way into the hands of vessel owners, operators, and shipbuilders, it became apparent that we had struck a chord. For instance, we know multiple shipbuilders which carry the portfolio in their briefcase as a way of showcasing to their own customers the depth of proven designs at their disposal. Other readers have remarked how helpful the porfolio was in educating them about how BMT is engaged in markets they previously didn’t realize.
The strong, positive response encouraged us to make the Vessel Design Portfolio an annual production, each year reflecting the ever-growing number of concept and built designs we have and are capable of delivering for our customers.
We are pleased that you are able to have this, the second edition, in your hand, and encourage you to keep it with you as a handy reference.
