Exploration Program
BMC Minerals would like to thank all staff,
consultants, contractors, and suppliers for an
excellent 2018 field season at Kudz Ze Kayah
(KZK). Exploration activities this year
comprised in excess of 4,000 meters of
diamond drilling for infrastructure design and
exploration, ground geophysics, surface
mapping, soil sampling, geotechnical
assessments, environmental monitoring, core
reboxing, and earthworks associated with the
camp upgrade. The KZK exploration camp has
now closed for the winter. BMC will begin
recruitment for the next field season at the
beginning of March 2019.

ANNOUNCEMENTS BMC for over four years and stated, “I’ve
known quite a number of mining companies
who have come to the Yukon over the years,
and rarely have I seen such a strong
commitment to leaving a positive legacy
once the mining is done”.
Rob and his wife Nancy will be wintering on
Vancouver Island, but will always remain
Yukoners. “I am very much looking forward
to more family time, travel and a host of
other pursuits, however, I will miss the day-
to-day comradery of working with the great
gang at BMC.”
BMC would like to send a warm thank you to
Rob for his dedication and enthusiasm as
Vice President of Yukon External Affairs.
As of January 2019, Rob McIntyre (long time
Yukoner and BMC’s Vice President of External
Affairs) will be stepping down and will be
replaced by Michael Hale another well-known
Yukoner. While he is stepping down from a
formal role with BMC, Rob has assured us he will
still be around to offer advice and provide
comment on BMC activities (whether we ask for
it or not!). Rob is looking forward to maintaining
an active influence on Yukon affairs through his
involvement on various Yukon boards and
volunteer organizations.
With his 40 years of experience in the Yukon’s
mining industry, BMC will be able to continue to
benefit from Rob’s deep knowledge of the
legislative and regulatory regime and Yukon’s
unique socio-economic fabric. Rob has been with
Rob’s community
involvement
throughout the years.

NEW BMC EMPLOYEESBMC is excited to introduce our new additions to
our team:
Andres Lopera
Michael Hale will join BMC in the new year as
Vice President of Yukon External Affairs.
Michael has lived and worked in the Yukon for
almost 20 years. Over the years he has had a
range of executive level roles. Most recently,
he was the Chief Administrative Officer for
Yukon College, leading the finance, HR,
facilities and revenue generation programs.
Previously, he worked as the Chief of Staff to
the Premier, as a Vice President of Operations
for a Crown corporation, and nearly a decade
in First Nation relations and negotiations. His
work as Chief of Staff and time working with
First Nations has provided him with much
experience in mine related issues including
permitting. With two sons, his free time is
spent trying to figure out Fortnite, Pokemon
and other kids' hobbies that make him feel old.
Andres Lopera joined BMC this past October
as the new Office Manager and Administrative
Assistant in Vancouver, BC.
Andres has a bachelor’s degree in industrial
engineering and is currently undertaking a
year-long diploma in procurement, supply
chain, and logistics management. Andres has
over 15 years of international experience
working for companies in the US and
Colombia. His experience is in the chemical
and textile sector in procurement, supply
chain, and operations. Andres enjoys being
outdoors, trying new sports, and new foods.
He also enjoys spending time with friends, his
three-year-old son, and his wife.

ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES For the latter part of 2018, BMC continued with surface water sampling, hydrometric monitoring, air
quality sampling, climate monitoring, post-rut wildlife surveys, and groundwater monitoring. This year,
BMC installed several air quality samplers throughout the Project area to collect baseline data on dust
found in the air. As well as this, BMC began collecting native plant seeds with participation from Yukon
College students, LFN and RRDC Elders, and a local field assistant, as part of KZK’s revegetation
program. This program forms an important part of the KZK decommissioning, reclamation and closure
phase. Another component of the revegetation program was installing vegetation trial plots to assess
revegetation growth.
