BLUEBERRY BUS Take advantage of the opportunity to pick the tastiest
blueberries in northwestern Ontario, at some of the favourite
local spots! Enjoy our best patches secure in the company of
others who are there to experience this traditional annual family
event.
Buses depart on Saturday and Sunday at 9 AM from the Marina.
A hat, long sleeves and sturdy walking shoes are required.
Water will be provided. Please bring your own pail for hauling
back all your yummy blueberries on the return bus at noon.
There will be a weigh-in and participation prizes for berry-pickers
each day, so come out for a delicious good time!
NEW THIS YEAR! Come out to witness some of the wonders of the night-time sky
with the Thunder Bay Royal Astronomical Society after
hours on Friday and Saturday! Experience a 36' Voyageur
Canoe Excursion down the Nipigon River. Brought to you by
the Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area. For
information about this exciting trip please see the folks at the
Parks Canada Booth. The course is in great condition for the
first Blueberry Blast Rotary Elks 4 person scramble 9 hole
golf tournament. Lots of prizes including random draw prizes
and closest to the hole prize. Call the North Shore Golf Club at
807 887 2006 to enter. Special rate for unlimited golf
afterwards. The North Shore clubhouse is licensed and meals
will be available all day. Come ride the Shriner’s Train!
