AT A GLANCEAbout the adventure: This challenging 10-hour hike will reward you with some of the best views and pristine trails in the Blue Mountains. This walk is a truly a wild opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, rejuvenate and share your challenging journey with like-minded adventurous women.
Feel the mountains awaken as we make the long descent to the iconic Blue Gum forest on the valley floor and take a cooling break by the gently flowing waters of Govetts Creek. Our climbing begins with an ascent to the remarkable Du Faur Head with its stunning views across the valley and then to our highest point, Lockley’s Pylon. We will return via the same trail to the river for a well-earned break before making the final ascent.
Where: Blue Gum Forest, Blackheath, Blue Mountains, NSW.
Meeting location: Perry’s Lookdown, Perry’s Lookdown Rd, Blackheath, Blue Mountains National Park NSW.
When: Sunday 29th April 2018 *Please note: we must have a minimum of 8 participants for the Wild Weekend walk to go ahead. Maximum: 15 participants
Duration: Full Day, 7am start. Approx. 5pm finish (8-10 hrs walking time)
Price: $185 Cost does not include: **accommodation, or transfers to & from Sydney.
Inclusions: Wild Women On Top guided walk with accompanying WWOT coach, first aid, NPWS entry fees, National Parks Licence, morning team and gourmet lunch.

Fitness requirements: Challenging. You must be of very good fitness and capable of carrying an 8kg pack for up to 8-10 hours on long steep uneven terrain and be comfortable with basic rock scrambling and variable weather conditions.
Transport and accommodation details: Please meet 7am at Perry’s Lookdown carpark, (free parking & bush toilets), Perry’s Lookdown Rd, Blackheath. Allow 3 hrs driving time from Sydney. The final section of the drive is an unsealed road suitable for 2WD vehicles. You may also wish to use the train to Blackheath as an option. (You will need to arrange a car pickup).
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE ADEQUATE TRAVEL INSURANCE TO COVER CANCELLATIONS, LOST PROPERTY, MEDICAL EVACUATION, PERSONAL LIABILITY, LOST DEPOSITS ETC.
Pack req & what to bring: You will be carrying all your personal equipment for the day – a 35 – 45L (6 - 8 Kg) daypack is suitable for this adventure.

Cancellation policy: If you cancel your Wild Walk booking prior to the scheduled departure, you may be eligible for the following store credit based on the price of the walk/trip.
• 30+ days prior to departure - a 20% administration fee will be deducted • 14-30 days - 50% will be deducted OR • Under 14 days, 100% of the trip costs will be forfeited

ABOUT USWild Women On Top was founded in 2002 by Di Westaway, after she suffered a ‘mid-wife’ crisis. She found a solution to her sadness in a mountain quest which inspired her to transform her life.
Four years later, Di coached a group of 15 women to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro, 5,982m. She learned that extreme wilderness challenges not only bring natural exhilaration but require more physical fitness, mental and emotional ‘tuffness’, team work and toasty warm socks than she’d ever imagined.
She was inspired to help women prepare for adventure challenges. To teach them the lessons she learned the hard way in order for them to achieve extraordinary goals and lead adventurous lives.
Our teams have trekked iconic locations around the world including Everest Base Camp, Mt Kilimanjaro, Machu Picchu, Bhutan, Patagonia, GR 20 Corsica, Mt Fansipan, Mt Kinabalu, Mt Elbrus, and the highest mountain in the Southern Hemisphere, Mt Aconcagua.
In 2009, Di founded the Wild Women On Top Coastrek Team Trekking Challenge. This event has inspired tens of thousands of Australians to get fit trekking and has raised over $20 million for charity.
