• Christian ZIONISM to be blamed for the Middle East problems

• Jeremiah treated with hostility. Why? Temple was not the source of Israel’s strength, vitality, and security. Jeremiah 26:18-19.

• BABYLON: Drunk with the blood of the saints—worldwide false religion that seeks to gain sanction from claiming Christ’ authority. “The mother of harlots” is not simply the source, but the size, of the influence of this enigmatic entity. (p. 132)

• The Latter Rain Movement (Revival) of the 1940s and 1950s, aka KINGDOM NOW, proposing SEVEN MOUNTAINS MANDATE

• Originally a charismatic offshoot… post-millennialism… preterist.

• More optimistic than the Dispensationalism preceding it.

• Establish an earthly kingdom in ‘His name’ – a Christian Jihad?

• “It substitutes the gospel of the kingdom for the gospel of salvation… it is a kingdom of God (that is) literal and physical… to be established in the present age.” (p. 186) Similar to new age utopianism.

Threat: They won’t recognize the Antichrist when he makes his appearance.

PROVIDENCE WILLS GERMAN SUCCESS

“In this hour I would ask of the Lord God only this: that, as in the past, so in the years to come He would give His blessing to our work and our action, to our judgment and our resolution, that He will safeguard us from all false pride and from all cowardly servility, that He may grant us to find the straight path which His Providence has ordained for the German people, and that He may ever give us the courage to do the right, never to falter, never to yield before any violence, before any danger... THE AMERICAN ANTICHRIST

• A “man of the people” and a “man of the hour”

• Support of the elite, but relate to the common folk

• Assure us that America’s “best days lie ahead and not behind”

• Address the financial anxiety of the nation

• Attack the villainess foe: RADICAL ISLAM!

• Promise security through military might second to none

• But keep the public on edge and in a state of fear

• Implore us to practice the “positive” aspects of our faith


THE MANIFESTO OF ANTICHRIST

• The Church and State must cooperate for the social good.

• Those who dismiss “social justice” are extremists and immoral.

• Separation of Church and State is at the discretion of the State.

• The nature of evil is negativity. We must be positive and supportive.

“It doesn’t matter who likes you or who doesn’t like you, all that matters is God likes you. He accepts you, he approves of you.” Concerning homosexuals, are they accepted too? “Absolutely, I believe that God has breathed his life into every single person. We’re all on a journey. Nobody’s perfect.” Osteen (p. 152)


DISCERNMENT IS NOT NECESSARY

“In today’s Evangelical Church, it is most certainly about expressing a positive Christianity! Hitler would feel especially vindicated if he attended the typical Megachurch and listened to the sermons there. Christianity has been effectively shorn of biblical discernment and blinded to the reality of evil as it presents itself in our world today.”

CHRISTIANITY—LIVING THE GOOD LIFE?

“Any concept of redemptive suffering preached from the Bible by ignoble vicars of Christ surely misses the mark. Turning the other cheek (Matthew 5:39) cannot be what Christ actually meant. ‘Fight back!
