P&C News

As your 2018 P & C President, it is has been an honour to be part of P&C committee. The P&C have a very important role to play within the school community, including the ability to assist in providing an environment that is conducive to learning and interaction. Through fundraising activities that have involved many of you fantastic parents, guardians, grandparents & carer’s, the P & C have been able to provide educational equipment for the teachers and provide play areas for the children that are environmentally friendly and meet our children’s physical needs. This year Paula Kontor and her team have gone above and beyond in providing an outstanding display of fathers and mother’s day gifts, organising the school disco, running raffles and of course the popular PJ and crazy hair days. Paula on behalf of the school, the P & C Committee and myself, I would like to sincerely thank you and your team for all your hard work and the dedication you put into the raising of funds for our school. A long term project that commenced in early 2018 will be completed for the 2019 school year. Through the success of an armistice grant applied for by Renae Ritchie and with funds provided by the P & C an amnesty garden will be unveiled. To my fellow executive and committee members, I thank you all for your continued support in 2018 and we hope to see you and any new members wishing to join in 2019. I wish the leavers of 2018 all the best for your future education as you transition into high school, and we look forward to seeing the returning students back in 2019. Please have a safe and merry Christmas. Darren Warwick BPPS P&C President

2019 P&C AGM The Annual General Meeting will be held at 7pm on Monday, 11 February 2019 and it would be fantastic to see many new parents join us and make a difference to our school. For more information, please contact Darren Warwick on 0433 546 051 or [email protected]

Fitness Club Term 4

On Fridays during weeks 2-8 this term some lucky Year 6 students participated in an endurance fitness circuit developed to encourage core strength and cardio development. The students received their kindly donated and prepared with love from our very own school canteen manager Robyn, fruit slushies as a part of their reward with their certificates of participation for a wonderful hard working term.

I also would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all students involved this year in the Year 3, 4, 5 and Year 6 Fitness Club, Mr McNerney for his assistance with the program and our school canteen for always supporting our students and encouraging them to find new ways to enjoy healthy foods.

Kind Regards,

Ms Fiona Goodlet

***Year 6 Graduation Lunch 2018***

The Year 6 students have had an exciting week celebrating their graduation. On Monday they performed beautifully at the graduation ceremony and had a super fun day playing on inflatables on the oval, dodge ball and ping pong. On Wednesday, students enjoyed a fancy lunch at The Atrium; they were extremely well behaved and received many compliments from Crown Staff. Congratulations to a fantastic group of students on a wonderful year; we wish you all the best for high school.
