Seniors News

Come one! Come all! The Blessed Sacrament Senior Picnic will be held in the Church Hall on Thursday, July 11th, 2019. The doors will open at 11:15 AM. There will then be time to play games and visit with your friends. A delicious picnic lunch will be served at 12:20 PM. This will be followed by more games and bingo.

Be sure to bring along your dimes! Come and have a great time. See you there!

Attention All Fishermen

The Seniors picnic is July 11th and we would like to add smoked salmon to the menu. Since we have a limited budget, perhaps a parishioner may have access to some Lake Michigan Salmon that could be donated to the event. If you know someone who would be willing to donate a salmon, I am willing to pick it up and smoke it for the event. Thank you.

Prayer for Freedom

Dear Lord,

So many today misunderstand freedom believing that it is the ability to do whatever we want.

Help us always to remember that freedom, true freedom, is being able to do what we ought to do: that freedom, true freedom, is not indulging our every want and whim, but instead is the ability to rise above any desires that are wrong, disordered, dangerous or excessive. Give us the grace always to remember that true freedom makes us the people You wish us to be, that true freedom brings us closer to You,

and reshapes our world in the likeness of Your kingdom.

Amen
