T In queso you haven’t heard...Pastor Shaun’s new Wednesday
evening class is starting this week, January 16th, at Tijuana
Flats. Join in this new series geared to take people deeper
into Scripture with concepts presented in Master’s of Divin-
ity courses. Childcare is already provided on Wednesday
nights and this group plans to meet offsite from 6:45pm-
7:45pm. At the 4 meetings, we’ll discuss and study the concept
of exegesis, eisegesis, hermeneutics, and homiletics. This series
ends with Ash Wednesday (February 6th). Interested in learning

The Annual Congregational/Corporation Meeting will be
held on Sun, Jan 27, 2013 at 5:45 pm following a potluck
dinner, which will begin at 5:00pm. The purposes of the
meeting are to receive annual reports, to elect 3 members for
the 2013 Elder Nominating Committee (NC), and to approve
the pastor’s 2013 compensation package. The 2012 NC will
present a slate of nominees for the 2013 NC to be elected by the
congregation. Please note that if a member plans to make a
nomination from the floor, the nominee must have been
contacted to confirm that he or she is willing and able to serve.
CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
Registration for the 2013 Spring Softball league has
begun and is in FULL SWING! Register now before the
team fills up. Games will be on Tuesday evenings (there
are ten scheduled games) beginning on February 12,
2013. We’re seeking male and female participants to have
fun, build fellowship, and be an example for Christ. We’re
in the Coed Rookie Recreational City League. Players must

NURSERY VOLUNTEERS & STAFF: Today’s nursery volunteers for this morning, assisting Lori Karnes, are Ann Mathison for the Blended Service, and Tina Mosley for the Contemporary Service. Next week’s volunteers are Laura Lindemann & Krisandra Carranza. MISSION OF THE MONTH: The January PCH outreach focus is “Backpacks for Kids”. For 100s of children, school lunch on Friday is the last meal they will eat until school breakfast on Monday. Our church is collecting donations of food items for the Backpack program that sends food home with hungry school children for the weekend. Please bring in donations of creamy peanut butter (no glass jars), fruit cups (individual size), Raman Noodle packets, chewy granola bars, or self-opening cans of ravioli, spaghetti-O’s or Vienna sausages. FRIDAY MORNING CIRCLE: This group will be meeting Fri, Jan 18th, at 10:00am. Carole Schroth will be the hostess (612 Lark Drive, Lakeland, 33813) & Betty Mater will be the lesson leader. MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS: Financial assistance for bringing in college students to our music ministry. Unlimited VIDEO EDITING SOFTWARE: Approximate cost is $100 ALUMINUM CANS: That’s right, Jeff Davis wants your cans! Did you know the youth recycle aluminum cans (any type of beverage) for profit to help with student supplies. Drop-off is located outside of Jeff’s office door. Unlimited BUFFET/SIDEBOARD STYLE CABINET: Our Secretary is “nesting”...in the office...no, there is no “news”...but we are adding a little female touch to the place. Does anyone have a used furniture piece that you would be willing to donate to the cause? It will hold delicate things, like Dunkin Donuts coffee K-cups, a vase of freshly cut roses, a fancy-pants sugar bowl, etc.
