Purpose of Service Reviews• To look at how services are provided at present• Determine what the demand will be for those services in

the future including any new legislation and/or priorities• Set out what the future services need to provide• Recommend how the services can be provided in the

future and resources needed, ensuring that they meet the 4 Es: (Effectiveness, Efficiency, Economically, and Equality).

Key Findings of Service Reviews

• Need to develop systems that can cope with the requirements of two Local Authorities and one Joint Partnership as well Welsh Government reporting

• Training needs to be of a high quality and to support the development of staff across the whole sector

• QCF provision to focus on working towards all staff achieving the relevant qualification and supporting the whole sector to also work towards that goal.

More Findings from Reviews

• Provision to be made for the implementation of the CPEL framework

• Some processes and procedures will have to remain separate until full integration of operational services

• Service provision is joint and needs to be planned accordingly avoiding any duplication and maximising resources and looking at alternative, more effective ways of delivering a service.

• Complete feedback and consultation process • Finalise reports and develop a summary report with a new

joint service specification• Develop a new permanent team structure and role

definition• Obtain approval for the new service • Implement new structure• Develop systems and implement service areas
