How does SteriaFIT Mobile work?

Any finger is scanned and the fingerprint transferred to officers’ smartphones or tablets through a Bluetooth, WiFi or USB connection.

Officer receives encrypted response back by sms, email or web service in an average of 30 seconds to two minutes. Response time is dependent on the central system running the search.

Scan is received, encrypted and stored under a new workstream.

SteriaFIT Mobile decrypts data. If the search provides a match, the officer is given suspect details, including a mug shot if available.

Encrypted data is sent to central database for search.

Officer stores encrypted scans and information in workstream. All data is protected using best-practice standards for protecting sensitive data. Several security mechanisms are available.
