Quiz for Undergraduates
It is indeed a pleasure to teach and mentor our active
and interested group of students. Our students are involved in
a number of academic activity including active participation
in quiz, seminar etc
A quiz was organized on 06-04-2016 on genetics for
the first year UG students. The seminar had four innovative
rounds covering molecular biology, genetics and techniques
with pictorial and case based questions
The students were divided into six groups based on
their practical /tutorial batches as IA, IB, IIA, IIB, IIIA and
IIIB. There were four rounds. All the groups performed
excellently and Batch IIIA won the quiz
We also had students participating in 1st state level
quiz “Epignosis” held at SSIMS&RC, Davengere. The
students who participated are Deepthi Upadhya, Dhatri S
Bettadapur, Yashwanth T R, Rumit N, Abhinav Mishra,
Yatheesh K P, Harshitha M, Impa M R, Nannapaneni Balaji
and Manoj G C

Awards for Undergraduates
I am proud to say the department recognizes and accolades the academic achievers in first
year and this year it was extremely difficult to choose the best amongst a galaxy of good performers.
However as the saying goes, let the best man win the race, ultimately the awards were chosen based on
multiple assessment tools.
