Mr. Adhir Khanna

Director

About Us

Alfa Systems & Services was first established in the Year 2005, It is a sister

concern of Alfa Next Gen Tech : formulated in 2008.

From the beginning we have been working successfully in the field of HVAC.

Having realised the importance of Sustainable Waste management and

Sanitation in our society, in 2011 we adopted the DRDO Developed Bio Toilets

& Bio Digester which works with the objective of disposing waste in an eco

friendly manner.

To further this initiative, we also entered a strategic tie- up with IIT Delhi to

promote and bring into utility, the water less loo developed by them,

manufactured and sold by EKAM Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

Our Vision

To ensure that every Indian has access to a dignified and eco friendly toilet experience.

Our Mission

•To eradicate open defecation & manual scavenging.

•To create awareness regarding sustainable sanitation solutions.

•To create awareness with regards to health and environmental issues & focus on community

programs for safety & dignity of women.

•To undertake social projects for installation & maintenance of Bio toilets and Bio digesters

in order to improve national sanitation practices and attitude towards sanitation.

•To Promote R&D in the Bio Toilet technology and sustainable waste management systems.

Vision & Mission

Page 4: Bio Digester PDF

•About 1/7thof world population still openly defecate in the

absence of any toilet / latrine, of which 60% live in India.

•The global impact of poor sanitation on human health and infant

/ child death is profound.

•It is estimated that 10 million children under 5 die globally every

year out of which 2.4 million are in India.

According to UNICEF / WHO estimates:

Eco Convenience Bio Toilet and Digester

•We at Alfa Next Gen Tech India Pvt Ltd. are offering an innovative

technology for disposal of human waste in an eco friendly manner.

•Bio Digesters are cylindrical/ rectangular structure with the provision of

inlet for human waste and out let for Bio gas and Odorless, Harmless Fertile

Water produced by bacteria digesting the Human Manure.

•Bio digesters contains a bacterial consortium which can function from -40 to

+60 Deg Centigrade Temperature/s

•The bacterial consortium degrades the night soil and produces colorless,

odorless and inflammable bio gas containing 50 – 70% methane.

Page 6: Bio Digester PDF

•Bio-Digesters do not require sewage-line connection or additional septic

tanks for disposal of black water or waste from toilets.

•Bio digester disposes human waste in 100% eco-friendly manner and

generates color less, odorless water and inflammable Methane- Gas for

cooking, water heating & room heating etc. as a by product.

•This technology is 100% maintenance free and is a continuous biological

process.

Process of Degradation

Hydrolysis

Particulate solubilized and large polymers converted to simpler monomers

Acidogenesis

Simple monomers converted to volatile fatty acids

Acetogenesis

Acetate converted into CH4 and CO2 while H2 consumed

Methaneogenesis

Volatile fatty acids converted to acetic acid,CO2 and H2

Anaerobic Bio Degradation involves degradation of human waste

without the use of oxygen in a closed container.

Page 10: Bio Digester PDF

Process of degradation

•The Tank of Bio toilets is a cylindrical/

rectangular structure with the provision of

inlet for human waste and out let for Bio

gas and water.

•Night soil degradation occurs through

microbial reaction which converts it into bio

gas and odourless water.

•The gaseous effluent (methane) is either

continuously let off to the atmosphere or can

be collected to be used for various energy

incentive activities like cooking water and

room heating.

Using the By-Products

• The water can be used as a

self sustaining irrigation

source.

• By adding a reed bed the

water can be recycled and used

further.

• Based on the usage of the bio

toilet, the methane produced can be

used to generate electricity and for

cooking purposes.
