Principals Message Dear Families and Community Members, It’s the end of week 8, only a few more weeks to go. The students have shown fantastic progress in their learning. We know this because as a teaching and learning team we are always view student evidence to see what your child needs to progress. I absolutely love watching the students learn and grow.

Curriculum The following weeks students will be finalising their assessments tasks as report cards will be going home in the final week. It is a mandatory requirement of the Australia P-12 curriculum, assessment and reporting framework that students in state schools are issued with a written report twice yearly at the end of each semester, using the appropriate five point scale.

Attendance Thank you to families for letting the school know if your child will be away. If your child is going to be away you can inform the school in the following ways; A. Leaving a message on the school phone B. Messaging the school mobile C. Messaging the school through the face-

book page D. Emailing the principal directly on

Are your details up to date? Please ensure all your contact details are up to date. Additionally, please ensure your emer-gency contacts are up to date. Legally, if you inform the school that another adult will be picking up your child, it is important that this person is on your emergency contacts, this way both parties are covered if an incident oc-curs.

Homework Week 10 will be the last week of Homework. I will be refining the homework policy during the

school break. I will be issuing a homework survey in the next few weeks to ascertain par-ent opinions and feedback. Reminder that all students need to complete at least 75% of homework each week for at least 8 out of the 10 weeks.

Gympie Excursion Thank you to Gympie Museum for having us. We were led around by our Guide, Mr Allen. He was very informative and told the students some history about Gympie and the exhibits that were there.

Annual Camp

Thank you to families who have returned their expression of interest form. If you are yet to return it, please do so a soon as possible. The deposit is due on the last day of school. It has been fantastic to see that we have had a majority of students wanting to attend camp. Additionally, we are looking for a male volun-teer to also join us on the annual camp. If you think you would be available please come and talk to me.

Third Party Consent Thankyou to families who have returned this form already. If you are yet to return this, please do so at your earliest convenience.

Health Check ups Robyn will be coming to do dental check ups on Thursday 14th June at 9:30am. Thank you to families who have returned their forms. Ad-ditionlly, Prep students have been given the opportunity to have their vision tested. If you would like to take advantage of this free ser-vice please return your form before the 22nd of June 2018.
