(714) 654–8930 [email protected] The Boeing Company Dear Mr. Villanueva, A Boeing News Release datelined CHICAGO, April 19, 2012, states in part: “Boeing (NYSE: BA) honored 14 companies and two academic institutions Wednesday evening at the Boeing Supplier of the Year event, recognizing their exceptional performance and contributions to the company's overall success during 2011.” The list of award categories and recipients included: Aerospace Support; All Points Logistics LLC. Details filed on May 1, 2013, with the Florida Secretary of State, for All Points Logistics, LLC (2323 S. Washington Avenue, Suite 215, Titusville, FL 32780) confirm that: 1) Phillip D. Monkress (2323 S. Washington Avenue, Suite 215, Titusville, FL 32780) is Managing Member. 2) Thomas C. Feeney (28 W. Central Boulevard, Suite 400, Orlando, FL 32801) is current registered agent. As of June 13, 2013, the homepage for All Points Logistics, LLC list its headquarters address as: 190 S. Sykes Creek Parkway, Suite 4, Merritt Island, FL 32952. In December 2012, Phillip D. Monkress, President and Chief Executive Officer of All Points Logistics, LLC, initiated a campaign to cover up the fact that he had for years represented himself as a former U.S. Navy SEAL. In September, 2011, The Boeing Company is video documented in the furtherance of Phillip D. Monkress’fraudulent “former U.S. Navy SEAL” claim. In December 2012, as part of his campaign to cover up the fact that he was never a U.S. Navy SEAL, Phillip D. Monkress engaged staff members of the Small Business Development Center at Brevard Community College in Melbourne, Florida, to strike references to his “former U.S. Navy SEAL” claim from the Public Record. At this time, would The Boeing Company have any comment as to the extent of its participation in this matter? Bill Roth Special Projects Editor Brevard Business News, Inc. MERRITT ISLAND — brandt ronat + company (br+c), a
marketing–solutions firm, has delivered “The Space Report 2013:
An Authoritative Guide to Global Space Activity” for the Space
Foundation of Colorado Springs and Washington, D.C.
This is the seventh consecutive Space Report for which br+c has
provided the design development, including editorial–image
research, data visualization, and the additional creation of a digital
edition.
The 160–page printed and illustrated document, the associated
CD and the e–book versions were “all delivered on time” to premier
at the Space Foundation’s signature annual event, the National
Space Symposium, which was held in April. The local firm has
produced this academic report since 2006.
Printing and shipping was handled by Southeastern Printing, a
responsibility they’ve had since the 2009 edition.
“Due to its size and scope, late–breaking statistical inputs and
the need to deliver the publication for the National Space Sympo-
sium, The Space Report is a challenging project each year,” said Jay
Decator of brandt ronat + company. “But under the leadership of
the dedicated research team at Space Foundation, with peer
reviewers and other partners, including br+c, we’ve always
produced unique, stunning books that have only grown better and
more valuable with each edition.”
Up–to–the–minute and infused with graphs and exhibits, the
best imagery from 2012, and an outlook on the future, The Space
Report provides information valuable not only to those working in
the space/aerospace sector, but also to “every person around the
globe interested in technology and its applications.” The story of
space enterprise is about working on the edge of knowledge and
pushing it further; this book is for everyone who is engaged in
learning more, he said.
The Space Report puts a “quantitative and qualitative” face on
space activity around the world. This document is primarily
targeted to decision–makers, investors, entrepreneurs, government
agencies and military leaders in communications, finance, defense,
homeland security, earth observation, microgravity research,
launch, exploration, entertainment, and other activities — for
businesses “on the ground or on orbit.”
As in previous years, during legislative session a Space Founda-
tion team briefed legislators on Capitol Hill, “increasing the book’s
authority and influence.”
Space Foundation’s research and analysis team in D.C., is led by
Micah Walter–Range, director of research and analysis, The Space
Report program manager; and Mariel John Borowitz, The Space
Report project manager; with G. Ryan Faith and Andrea Frick
contributing.
To learn more about The Space Report 2013 or purchase a copy
of the book, go to thespacereport.org.
The local marketing–solutions firm is known for “creating brand
strategies and high–value message development, sustainable
communications and advertising systems for clients in space and
technology, cultural and nature tourism, health and wellness, the
financial–services industry, community infrastructure, real–estate
development, and retail.”
Its clients include Brevard Workforce, the Economic Develop-
ment Commission of Florida’s Space Coast, Community Credit
Union of Florida, Space Coast Health Foundation, Federated
Precision, Gatto’s Tires & Auto Service, Florida Space Day Commit-
tee, Lawler Centre for Cosmetic Surgery, University of Central
Florida, and Brevard Schools Foundation.

The Founders Forum, the premier resource for
entrepreneurs in Brevard County, will host its final
program of the 2012–2013 “Red Hot Season” and the
organization’s latest signature event — “The Hot
Seat” — beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, at
the Hilton Melbourne Rialto.
The Hot Seat is Brevard’s answer to similar
“business–pitching shows seen on television. It will
provide selected contestants the opportunity to pitch
their business concepts to a group of successful
entrepreneurs, all in front of a live audience and all
with the real prospect of attracting investors.
The contestants will be pitching to a panel of five
successful local professionals: Tim Reynolds, Carol
Craig, Dan Rensing, Steve Thomas and Tim
Wakefield.
After hearing each contestant’s presentation,
these panelists will “grill” the individual on the
merits of their business concept. At the conclusion of
the presentations, the panel will determine which
contestant will win $1,000 in prize money.
The Hot–Seat contestants completed a “compre-
hensive pre–screening process before being selected.”
Four local, startup companies are scheduled to
appear as contestants. The identities of these
companies will not be released until the event.
Selected contestants will give a five–minute
presentation to the event’s panelists addressing a
number of questions. These will include: How do you
define your business model?
The May meeting is the fifth Founders Forum
gathering in the 2012–2013 series. Hayworth
Chaney & Thomas P.A., Pizza Gallery & Grill LLC,
and Wells Fargo Advisors are the sponsors for the
evening.
To register to attend the event, call 253–3300 or
visit FoundersForum.com. The fee is $35 in advance
and $40 at the door the evening of the program.
Founders Forum is a non–profit, non–member-
ship corporation dedicated to “fostering the success
of new and existing businesses by creating an
environment where entrepreneurs are motivated,
educated, and encouraged to exchange ideas and
information vital to business growth.”

Entrepreneur Monkress of All–Points Logistics keynote speaker forSBDC Veterans Conference Sept. 14 at King Center in Melbourne— to talk about new VA verification; open to business communityBy Ken Datzman
Area businessman Phil Monkress, who served his
country as a member of the U.S. Special Forces, will be the
keynote speaker for the Florida Small Business Develop-
ment Center’s 11th annual Veterans Business Conference.
He’ll speak on a timely topic — a newly enacted
verification process for businesses — that impacts
veteran–owned firms across the nation.
At the event, Monkress will be joined by a host of
government representatives and small–business advo-
cates, both locally and from around the state, who will talk
about the resources their individual offices make available
to assist veterans who are interested in entrepreneurship.
The group will include speakers from the U.S. Small
Business Administration, NASA’s Central Industry
Assistance Council, the Procurement Technical Assistance
Center, Patrick Air Force Base, Brevard Small Business
Assistance Council, and the Veterans Business Outreach
Center.
The conference is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday,
Sept. 14, at Brevard Community College’s Maxwell C.
King Center for the Performing Arts on North Wickham
Road in Melbourne.
The registration fee of $55 includes breakfast, lunch
and conference materials. Call 433–5570 or 433–5572 or
visit www.BrevardCC.edu/workforce to register for the
event. The conference features an exhibitor–display area
for businesses and organizations. Table–display space is
$105.
While the conference is designed to help military
veterans succeed in the world of entrepreneurship, current
and aspiring businessowners in the region are welcome to
attend, said Vicky Peake, director of Brevard Community
College’s Small Business Development Center on the
school’s Melbourne campus.
“We encourage the business community in general to
come for the networking opportunities. Perhaps, some
teaming and strategic alliances can be formed through
these contacts,” she said.
Monkress, a former U.S. Navy SEAL, is president and
chief executive officer of All–Points Logistics, based in
Titusville with operations in Atlanta, Ga., and Huntsville,
Ala.
The company provides technical and management–
support services to the U.S. government and its prime
contractors. All–Points Logistics is a Service–Disabled
Veteran, Native–American Owned, Small–Disadvantaged
Business.
“We are delighted to have Phil as our keynoter for the
conference,” said Peake. “I think his presentation will be of
interest to a lot of veterans and disabled veterans who
attend the conference. There is a new VA verification that
is going to be important to them in marketing their
business to government contractors.”
To further advocate for military veterans, the VA
recently announced that companies identifying themselves
as small businesses or veteran–owned businesses, in an
effort to gain priority for Department of Veterans Affairs
contracts, must now provide documentation verifying their
status within 90 days of receiving notice from the agency.
“The Veteran–Owned and Service–Disabled Veteran–
Owned distinctions are very important. These distinctions
are earned,” said Peake, whose office works closely with
veterans, helping guide them through startup ventures
while also reaching out to existing veteran–owned
businesses.
Monkress’ 8:45 a.m. presentation, set for the Black Box
Theater at the King Center, is titled “You’ve Earned It:
Making the Most of Veteran–Owned Business Verification,
the New Standard.”
One of the highlights of the conference will be a local
CEO panel addressing “The Future of Government
Contracting.” The discussion will be moderated by Joellen
Moore of IAP Worldwide Services in Cape Canaveral.
The panelists include Carol Craig of Craig Technolo-
gies, Rich Hall of Luke & Associates Inc., and Moses
Harvin of American Services Technology Inc. “We are
anxious to hear their opinions on this key topic, especially
as it pertains to Brevard County,” said Peake.
Following the government–contracting presentation, a
panel of speakers from around the state will inform
audience members about “Veteran Business Resources.”
Rob Pickett of BCC’s SBDC will moderate a panel
comprised of these small–business experts: Brent Peacock,
Veterans Business Outreach Center; Tom Gallman and
Robert Chaviarria, SBA, South Florida District; Tony
Espinosa, Brevard Workforce; and Ron Johnson, SBA,
North Florida District.
In his counseling role at the SBDC, Pickett, a former
banker who holds the Certified Business Analyst designa-
tion and recently completed a financial–management
course titled “Profit Mastery,” offers “one–on–one counsel-
ing for small–business owners” in a number of critical
areas that help foster growth.
Local businesswoman Joyce Wilden, owner of Buzz Biz
PR, has been invited to speak at the conference on
“Reconnection Marketing.”
“Government Contracting — The Prime Update” will be
led by Debbie Melvin of The Boeing Co. and will feature
panelists Maureen Bryant of Harris Corp., Moore of IAP
Worldwide Services, Alice O’Neal of Patrick Air Force Base
and Cheryl Smith of DRS Tactical.
A networking and refreshment break comes after the
Prime Update discussion. Mr. J’s Ice Cream & More, a
veteran–owned company, will be serving up its specialty
items outside the King Center. The business is owned by
Gregory Jones. “Greg has been a part of the conference for
years. Everyone always enjoys his ice cream and hotdogs,”
said Peake.
Two breakout sessions are scheduled at 1 p.m. “A Legal
Conversation Every Contractor Should Know” will feature
area attorney Ed Kinberg of Kinberg and Associates LLC
and businessman Gary Beckert of Beckert & Associates.
Beckert served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Chaviarria of the SBA’s South Florida District will
present an “SBA 8(a) Update” in his breakout session. The
SBA recently completed the first comprehensive overhaul
of the 8(a) program in more than 10 years. It’s is the
government’s most popular small–business development
program.
Sponsors of the conference include Brevard Workforce,
Craig Technologies’ Machine and Tool Division, Harris
Corp., IAP Worldwide Services, “Florida Today,” Florida
Manufacturing Extension Partnership, Economic Develop-
ment Commission of Florida’s Space Coast, Veterans
Business Outreach Center, and the SBDC at BCC.
“Fortunately, we have been able to expand our sponsor-
ship reach in the community, which is great,” said Peake.
Vicky Peake is director of BCC’s Small Business DevelopmentCenter in Melbourne. Former banker Rob Pickett, a CertifiedBusiness Analyst, is a small–business counselor at the center. TheSBDC team will host its 11th annual Veterans Business Confer-ence Sept. 14 in the King Center Rotunda.

May 22, 2013 — Wednesday
Dear Children (Afghanistan, Baltimore, New York City, Melbourne),
The U.S. Supreme Court allows that to falsely proclaim oneself “U.S. Navy SEAL Team 4” is but a “mere résumé embellishment.”But as our Nation prepares for the May 27, 2013, day of remembrance for the men and women who died while serving in theUnited States Armed Forces, words from another time might help stay the resolve of those brave hearts that ache at the idea of“mere résumé embellishment.”When John (Jack) Ogden Carley died in 1962, many paid him tribute — Frank R. Ahlgren, editor of The Memphis CommercialAppeal; Buford Ellington, Governor of Tennessee; John L. McClellan, Arkansas Senator; Lt. Gen. W.K. Wilson, Chief of Engineers;J. Edgar Hoover, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. For good cause The Commercial Appeal framed Jack as “one of the truly revered figures in southern journalism.” For 39 years hehad been a member of their staff and for 22 of those years he was Chief Editorial Writer. In the first of those 22 years, on June 3, 1940, The Memphis Commercial Appeal wrote of Jack Carley’s words:
“They lie who say that Democracy is decadent and that might shall triumph over right,” Jack Carley, editorialwriter for The Commercial Appeal, told several hundred persons gathered yesterday for a memorial service amid thewhite crosses over soldier dead in National Cemetery.
“Democracy yet remains the best national system devised and this Nation represents the greatest undertaking fordemocracy which could be conceived,” Mr. Carley added.
As an invocation, the Rev. C.C. Rooney of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, a veteran himself, recited the solemn andsonorous lines of Kipling’s “Recessional,” setting the tone of the occasion and leaving the audience quiet and receptive.
Mr. Carley’s address follows:“Mr. Commander, Comrades, Members of the Auxiliaries, to all free men and women present:“The hallowed soil on which we stand has been bought by those whose bodies rest within at bitter, sacrificial cost.“This is no place for platitudes. This is no time for tears. They who have died for country demand of us something
more than that.“Nothing we might say or do here could add one whit to their glory or detract from the sublimity of their sacrifice.
Their place is fixed in the history of this Nation for all time. They have been praised in poetry, and their deeds arerecounted in song.
“They do not need us here this afternoon but we, my friends, have dire need of them, need of their faith, theircourage, and their complete willingness to subordinate self to needs of country.
“Somewhere they live on, no longer earthbound to this selfish and insane world and their voices — if we choose tolisten — yet speak to us, aye they cry out to us not to betray them further.
“For they have been betrayed by us — betrayed by our blindnesses and our hypocrisies — betrayed through the factthat we have permitted those things for which they died to be threatened with destruction.
“They threw us a torch and unless we spring to the alert its flame will go out.“They get nothing out of our coming here this afternoon. We may get something out of it if we will. If we fail to do
that then this becomes a futile, blasphemous gesture. “No war veteran here can possibly misunderstand or fail to see the evil which is abroad. None can fail to view the
future with apprehension. There is no longer time for recrimination, no moment in which to wonder how or why wefailed. Our obligation is to build now so strongly that the evil winds which blow cannot destroy that which the deadwho lie here created — they and their comrades in hundreds of thousands of military and naval graves. …”
Of our own Soldier, it was written with words under the provisions of AR 600–45, 22 September 1943, as amended:“… assumed control and working without any of his own staff, with complete disregard for his own personal safety
and utter contempt for the enemy, organized all elements with stunning swiftness, cleaned out the opposition andestablished an effective defense of the area as a base for future operations, resulting in the expedient and successfulaccomplishment of the mission. … courage and devotion to duty, many times displayed, served as an inspiration to theofficers and men under his command, reflect great credit on himself and are in keeping with the highest traditions ofthe Armed Forces.”
Now, 70 years later, while so many values have changed, our Nation still finds Soldiers willing to “carry on the mission,” and trulyproclaim before God, “I am U.S. Navy SEAL Team 4.”
Love,Dad

RESPONSES 1–5 Per Request from:

Adrienne Roth, publisher of Brevard Business News, has prepared a telecom of a May 1, 2013, conversation shehad with you concerning “U.S. Navy SEAL Team 4”Imposter Phil Monkress, President and Chief ExecutiveOfficer of All Points Logistics, LLC.
According to Adrienne Roth’s telecom, you read part of acorrespondence from Robert Pickett, Director of the SmallBusiness Development Center at Brevard CommunityCollege that concerned certain facts associated with “U.S.Navy SEAL Team 4” Imposter Phil Monkress, Presidentand Chief Executive Officer of All Points Logistics, LLC.
It is documented that “The Small Business Develop-ment Center (SBDC) is a federally funded organizationthat offers numerous resources, services, workshops andseminars to small business owners and entrepreneurs inorder to help them succeed and grow. As part of the FloridaSmall Business Development Center Network and as asub center of the Small Business Development Center ofthe University of Central Florida, BCC’s SBDC has beenactively serving Brevard County since 1990.”

This is a heads up for what I would hope will notbecome a public issue, and on which I will work to resolvebefore we get a chance to talk next week. BBN ran this adin the most recent issue. It features a COPY of our
Veterans Conference ad from two years ago, with a footerwhich says, “To Be Continued…” To us, this is a not sosubtle notice that she has more to say on the topic.
Adrianne Roth, the Publisher of BBN, has a history ofairing her personal disputes in her newspaper, and due tothe position of the ad, I anticipate that she has somethingnegative to say about our speaker from two years ago, PhilMonkress. She has used BBN as a platform to speak abouther disagreements with Space Coast Business Magazineand FIT. It always contains some emotion about which thegeneral public probably just scratches its head andwonders what is really going on.
Ms. Roth has always been a friend of the SBDC, and I,together with Vicky, have had open and candid communi-cation for many years.
BACKGROUND:l Mr. Monkress has been a client of the SBDC and was
the keynote speaker at our 2011 Veterans Conference.l SUBSEQUENT to the 2011 Conference, someone in
the public questioned his claim to have been an actualNavy SEAL. He later retracted this claim and has askedfor various sponsors of web sites to remove references to it.We complied with his request, but Ms. Roth refused to doso, citing professional reasons.l The issue has been quiet for over a year until this
BBN issue landed on my desk.ACTION:l I have left a message with Ms. Roth and have asked
her to call me back.l The Veterans Conference represents about 75% of our
Program Income in a given year. My request to her wouldbe simply to leave us out of it as adverse press couldjeopardize our reputation and our relationship with ourmajor sponsors, including, Harris and IAP, to name a few.
I appreciate your wisdom and any guidance you mighthave to offer on this as well as communication with anyappropriate departments within BCC which might have astrategic interest.

Further to our conversation on the phone about theBBN and our relationship with Phil Monkress:
Our Center IC System has two records,l All Points Logistics.Speaker for our 9/17/11 Veterans Conferencel Chickasaw Nation Industries.3/19/04, Mailed a brochure on our New Venture course,11/6/07, Attended Doing Business with Patrick AFB
We circulated our desire to acquire a speaker to theBSBAC Committee of the Chamber in early 2011. TheBoeing Company suggested him as a speaker and hesubmitted his resume and credentials to us. There wasexplicit conversation prior to going to press about propersyntax when referring to a “Former Navy SEAL” with himand his office. Candidly, we took him at his word.
As I told Mildred in the original email on this topic,AFTER the 2011 Conference, someone had as ax to grindwith him and began publishing a blog about his recordlacking any credible SEAL documentation. (GOOGLE it!)We questioned him on this and he publicly retracted hisclaims and asked us to remove referenced to it on our website and our publications. We complied with this requestand have not heard anything from him or anyone elsesince that time until last week’s BBN, which referenced usobliquely.
Top 2 Google search hits for “Monkress SEAL”l http://thisainthell.us/blog/?p=30777 (negative)l http://www.veteranownedbusiness.com/blog/tag/phil–
monkress–ceo–all–point–logistics/ (silent)I have only had one member of the public ask me what,
“To be continued” might mean, but did not indicate thatthey took anything negative from it. In fact, she did notnotice the 2011 date on the announcement.
What’s the old quote about, “There’s nothing older thanyesterday’s news….?” Let’s hope so.RP

Here is the article in today’s BBN.(SEE BBN Vol. 31 No. 20 dated May 20, 2013)Our documentation from that period disputes the facts
stated in the letter. Sandy and Vicky went to great lengthsto clarify the proper method and syntax for publishing theSEAL credentials. Monkress might blame his “office” forthat communication, but we are well documented. Itirritates Sandy a little bit to be called a liar, but we are bigkids and will remain in silent mode on this topic as far asthe public is concerned.
Thanks for your support.RP
