1st Amendment: Provides the basic rights of expression for U.S. citizens

2nd,3rd,4th Amendments: All relate to colonial disputes with Great Britain before the American Revolution

5th, 6th, 7th, 8th Amendments: Provide guidelines for trying people accused of crimes

9th and 10th Amendments: Provide general protections for individual rights not addressed by the first eight amendments.
