What is a CHIP Card?

Globe Finance Inc. introduces the ‘CHIP and PIN’ technology to Barbados. This encrypted microchip, already used worldwide, provides a more secure payment system against fraudulent transactions and the counterfeit copying of the card.

The Cardholder is now required to use a PIN (Personal

transaction as the signature will no longer be required.

‘CHIP’ Cards will continue to have the magnetic stripe on the back, which will ensure that your card will be accepted at those merchants that have not yet upgraded their point of sale terminals with the new technology.

Transfer Your BalanceOur Cardholders are encouraged to take advantage of our very low interest rates, rewards and benefits by transferring the balance* of their credit card.
