Additional Run Time Requests Policy• Tier 1 – Physical Plant Central Control Approval

– Single time requests for four or fewer additional hours on a single system

• Tier II – Physical Plant Supervisor Approval/Appeal– Temporary requests for 16 or fewer additional hours, including elevated Tier 1

requests

• Tier III – Physical Plant Service Manager Approval/Appeal– Temporary requests that may be in effect for extended periods lasting less than 15

weeks, including elevated Tier II requests and appeals. An energy estimate will be performed.

• Tier IV – Assistant Vice President for Physical Plant Approval/Appeal– Requests for permanent changes, including elevated Tier III requests and approvals.

An energy estimate is performed. Additional utility funding may be required.

• Final Appeal – Vice President for Finance & Operations and/or the Provost
