Big frogYarn: Scheepjes Stone Washed XL, 3 skeins of colour 846 Canada Jade (body and head), small pieces of colour 841 Moon Stone (only for the white in the eyes) and colour 851 Garnet (for the bow and mouth). Scheepjes Catona, small pieces of black (110) for the black in the eyes.Hook-size: 5 mmHeight: About 40 cm

Small frogYarn: Scheepjes Catona 50 g of colour 205 (body and head), small pieces of red colour 192 (mouth), white 106 and black 110 (eyes).Hook-size: 3 mmHeight: About 27 cm.

Good to know

- The numbers in () in the end of a round tells the number of stitches in that round.- () in a round means that you should repeat the () x times. In this pattern I only use x 2.- Head, arms, feet and eyes are worked in continuous rounds. Use a stitch marker or a piece of yarn to keep track of the beginning of each round.

- The first dc is always replaced with ch 2, together with a regular dc in the same stitch. In the rounds where you do 2 dc tog, this means you first do the ch 2, then the first real dc togeheter with the dc in the second stitch.

- Each round of dc’s ends with a sl st to the first stitch, NOT in the ch 2.

Ch 60, join with sl st to form a ring. Make sure the chain isn’t twisted.

Stuff the last in the head and sew the opening closed. Secure the end.

Feet (make 2)

Flatten and crochet closed with 6 sc. You can put a little bit of stuffing in the feet if you want to, doit before you close them ;) Cut the yarn and secure it.

Arms (make 2)

Rnd 1. 6 sc in a magic circle (6)Rnd 2. 2in1, around (12)Rnd 3. 1 sc, 2in1, around (18)Rnd 4-6. 18 sc (18)Rnd 7. 1 sc, 2 sc tog, around (12)Rnd 8-18. 1 sc (12)

Stuff lightly, flatten the end and crochet closed with 6 sc. Cut the yarn but leave a long tail to attach the arms to the body.





Eye – white (make 2)

Rnd 1. 6 sc in a magic circle (6)Rnd 2. 2in1, around (12)Rnd 3. 1 sc, 2in1, around (18Rnd 4. 18 sc.Rnd 5. 1 sc, 2 sc tog, around (12)Rnd 6. 12 sc.

Cut yarn but leave a long end to attach the eyes to the head.

Eye – black (make 2)

3 sc in a magic circle, end with a sl st to the first stitch. Cut the yarn and sew the black to the white.





Assembly

Put the feet in the big openening in the bottom of the body. Place them where you think they look good. Sew the whole bottom closed, with the legs in the right places.

Attach the arms 1,5 cm from the top of the body.

Place the eyes on top of the head, put in some stuffing and sew them in place. Don’t forget to do thewhite stitch in the black part of the eye.

Make a mouth and some nostriles with a piece of red yarn.

When you attach the head to the body, use the front loops from round 21 on the head.

Done!
