BIG CHANGES, BIG WINS, AND BIG THINGS TO COME

There are a lot of great food and drink options at El Cortez. From the continental

favorites of Cafe Cortez to the craft cocktails at Parlour Bar, we have everything

your tastebuds could possibly desire. But sometimes you can fall into a routine.

Ordering the same thing over and over. I can’t blame you, we have some pretty great

things to eat and drink here. But allow me to offer you some alternatives. We’ve got

some favorites of our own here at El Cortez, so now’s the time to branch out and try

some of the unsung heroes of our menu.

For starters, there is our Prime Rib Special, where you get an amazing cut of beef

and sides for less than ten bucks. It’s one of the best deals not only Downtown, but

in all of Vegas. One bite, and you’ll see why. My personal favorite meal at El Cortez?

The Reuben sandwich made with Vienna Corned Beef on Deli Rye Bread. Close

your eyes and you’ll think you’re in a New York deli (only nicer!). While we have

some amazing entrees, the hidden gems of our menu are the salads. The Greek Salad

and Chinese Chicken salad are two of my favorites.

And, of course, we have a lot on our plate for 2015. Siegel’s 1941 will feature a chef-

driven menu with dishes never before seen Downtown, as well as some classic El

Cortez favorites. I’m sure you’ll have as much fun eating your way through the

menu as I will.

Of course, you can’t have all that wonderful food without a tasty beverage to wash it

down. El Cortez has a great selection of draft and bottled beers, but as craft cocktails

seems to be making a comeback, I’d like to introduce you to a few friends of mine.

First up we have the Rhapsody in Blue, a beautiful and tasty drink of rum, triple sec,

Blue Curacao, and fruit juices. Going from blue to red, our Blood Orange margarita

is always a crowd pleaser. And of course, there’s nothing as refreshing as a Lemon

Drop, and our bartenders love making them!

Single Barrel bourbons are hot right now, so why not try your favorite kind in an

Old Fashioned, Manhattan, or Whiskey Sour? Don’t know which one to pick? Ask

a bartender. That’s what they’re there for! There are also some nice gins hitting the

market, such as Bulldog and Plymouth. Both are smooth and delicious, and make

a great martini. If you need more of a pick-me-up, you can always go with an old

favorite, a Bloody Mary made from scratch. It’s the most popular drink at El Cortez.

Maybe you’re looking for that perfect winter drink. In that case, nothing beats an

Irish Coffee made with Jameson Irish Whiskey.

Well, there you have it. New things for you to try on your next trip here. And if you

need some last minute inspiration, don’t be shy! Ask your server or bartender. We

all have our favorites from the great food and drink at El Cortez.

HELLOS, GOODBYES, AND BIG WINS IN 2O14Cortez. Life is Beautiful called Downtown

home once again, with big-name acts like

Foo Fighters and Kanye West tearing up

the stage. Just like last year, El Cortez was

the best place to experience the festival.

We were on the doorstep of the event,

steps away from the entrance, which

means we were able to both provide

convenient access to the grounds as well

as a nice haven away from the action

when our guests needed a breather. This

year also marked the introduction of our

Wineyard on Jackie Gaughan Parkway,

an outdoor experience with great wine,

food, and music. And right at home in our

Parlour Bar we introduced Peter Pavone,

an award-winning Sinatra tribute artist

that has been doing it his way. We’re

looking forward to even bigger things

next year.

2014 was the year the Flame went out, as

our popular steakhouse was retired to make

way for our new dining experience, Siegel’s

1941. We look forward to the exciting

2014 was a big year at El Cortez. We made

some new friends and lost some old ones,

we brought music and art Downtown, we

made changes big and small, and we built a

foundation for a successful future.

El Cortez was a home for big Keno wins this

year, as we had 3 big wins of over $50,000

each! We introduced MegaKeno and

Mega10 progressives to Downtown, and we

expect those big wins to keep coming. And

of course, so do our players! Maybe that’s

why we won Best Keno in the Review

Journal yet another year.

We had another great year for football, with

our Monday night football viewing parties

and giveaways proving to be a popular

place for people to watch their favorite

teams. We also had a $10,000 winner in the

Great Giveaway right here at El Cortez. And

of course, our always popular Last Man

Standing contests for college basketball,

college football, and pro football.

2014 was a great year for events at El

dishes and events that Siegel’s has in store

for 2015. Our mouths are watering already.

We also made big changes in gaming this

year. Our Hot Streak Slots gave our players

a way to earn bonuses faster than ever! We

welcomed people to some new Club Cortez

promotions with our Saturday Point Fever

giveaway where we gave away a million

points to players every week. And our

kiosks helped our players see and redeem

their Club Cortez offers easier than ever

(and even earn a few treats on the way).

And last but certainly not least, 2014

was the year we said goodbye to Jackie

Gaughan. He was the heart and soul

behind El Cortez, and his spirit and his

passion live on in every big win at El

Cortez. So we’ll make sure we go even

bigger and better in 2015. After all, that’s

how Jackie would want it.
