OPTION 1

A. Go to bicycleloan.com and apply for your bicycle loan.

B. If approved, go to a local bicycle retailer to pick out your bicycle and obtain an itemized invoice showing the total purchase price, including accessories.*

C. Go to a Unitus branch to complete the loan process and obtain membership. You will receive a check made payable to your bicycle shop and yourself for up to 100% of the total purchase price (including accessories).**

D. Take the check to the bicycle shop and complete your purchase.

OPTION 2

A. Purchase the bicycle, along with any accessories.*

B. Within two weeks of your purchase date, take your receipt of purchase to a Unitus branch (receipt must be itemized). Apply for a bicycle loan.

C. If your membership and loan are approved, Unitus will reimburse 100% of the total bicycle/accessory cost.**

The Unitus Bicycle Loan is an effort to provide more people with the opportunity to ride a bicycle. Unitus wants to help identify bicycling as a legitimate mode of transportation and supports the active and healthy lifestyle we share in the Pacific Northwest.

WHO IS UNITUS?

Unitus is a local, cooperative, full-service financial institution that is open to anyone who lives or works in Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, Marion, Polk, Yamhill , Columbia, Hood River, Linn, Benton, Lane, Deschutes, Douglas, Josephine, or Jackson counties, Oregon, or the State of Washington.

* Total purchase price, including accessories, cannot exceed 120% of the retail price of the bicycle.** To qualify for a bicycle loan, you must obtain Unitus membership and pay a one-time $10.00 mem- bership fee.

FAQsHow It WorksDo I need to be a Unitus member to apply for a bicycle loan?

No, you do not need to be a member to apply for the loan. We can set up membership upon approval of the loan.

Can I purchase a used bicycle with this loan?

Yes, as long as the bicycle has been purchased from a known bicycle dealer, like your local bike shop.

Can I include accessories, such as a lock or lights, in the loan?

Yes, the total purchase price can include the cost of the bicycle and accesories (not to exceed 120% of the retail price of the bicycle).

How much can I borrow toward a new bicycle?

You can borrow up to $7,500.

How long do I have to pay it off?

Loan term is based on the amount borrowed. See our website for more information on the rates and terms associated with the program.
