• The committee unanimously recommends adopting Lutheran Service Book as Berea’s primary hymnal

– Reflects confessional Lutheran position

• Effort to eliminate obsolete language

– Where the meaning is now different or unclear

– Not a hymn, but a great example: Psalm 88:13
