Vice President of Communications Corey Boone

Fellow Yellow Jackets,

This week kicks off SGA Week for the 2009-2010 school year! We are very excited to spend this week talking to you about the many issues that you face. For a full schedule of events, please visit our website at http://sga.gatech.edu. The past two weeks have been quite busy for us. We successfully hosted the first ever campus-wide Welcome Back Party. The event was a perfect opportunity to welcome our new president and his wife Val to the campus.

Not to be outdone, this week is full of activity also. With the “White-out” this Thursday against Clemson and the 9/11 Memorial this Friday, there will be plenty of activity on campus.

Below are some updates on how we are working for you and how you can get involved in your SGA. For more dynamic updates on what we are doing, feel free to join our Facebook Fanpage or follow us on Twitter (@gtsga)!

Campus Affairs Board

Campus Services: The Campus Services Committee is working hard this year to ensure that your dining experience improves. One of the initiatives that this committee has worked on is the “Dr. J Says” program. Dr. Jay Says is a completely automated feedback mechanism that allows students to:

Give feedback on the quality of meals prepared

Receive “meal plans” based on specific nutritional needs

Give feedback on the quality of service received

The dining halls will be equipped with touch screens where students can give real-time feedback on their dining experience. The Campus Services committee is looking to implement the new program very shortly.
